There is provided a gaming system and methods that utilize a presentation assembly configured to present a series of spins of a plurality of reels arranged in an array, the array including a subset of the array in which weights are assigned to the symbols within the subset. Determination of winning combinations of the symbols in the array is based, in part, on the weights assigned to the symbols. If any wins occur as the result of a spin, the wins are paid, the winning combinations are removed, and the array shifts to fill in the removed symbols. The subset of the array is randomly repositioned and resized, and weights are added to one or more symbols in the new subset of the array. Any newly resulting wins are paid, and the process repeats until no wins occur, at which point the spin ends.

Gaming system and method with a symbol weighting feature

Disclosed are methods for augmenting information presented in association with a gaming device. The methods include controlling a camera on a mobile device using an augmented reality gaming assistance component and enabling a user to employ the camera to capture an image of a game screen display. The captured image is sent via a network to a server that determines a game paytable, a current state of the game and a current wager amount from the captured image, then determines one or more possible strategies for the game based on that data. The game paytable, current state, current wager amount and one or more possible strategies are then transmitted to the mobile device and displayed. At least one of the possible strategies may be selected at the mobile device, wherein the odds of one or more possible game outcomes for the selected strategy are displayable on the display.

Methods for augmented reality gaming

Disclosed are methods for augmenting progressive meter information presented in association with a gaming device. The methods include controlling a camera on a mobile device using an augmented reality gaming assistance component and enabling a user to employ the camera to capture an image of a game screen display, the image including one or more progressive meters associated with a respective progressive award. The captured image is sent via a network to a server that, for each of one or more progressive meters, determines a location of the progressive meters within the captured image, determines a value for each associated progressive award based on the captured image at each respective location, and determines a progressive rating for the associated progressive award based on the value. Content based on the one or more progressive ratings is received at the mobile device and displayed to the user via a display.

Disclosed is a method for enabling an augmented reality interaction system and a mobile device to overlay a virtual 3D component over a physical 3D component with which the virtual 3D component interacts. The method includes: enabling a user to capture a live camera image of a gaming machine cabinet via a camera on the mobile device; producing a virtual rendering of the gaming machine cabinet; determining virtual 3D components to be displayed over an image of a virtual gaming machine cabinet; comparing a virtual depth rendering of the virtual 3D components to a virtual depth rendering of the virtual gaming machine cabinet; and overlaying virtual 3D components without the subtracted elements onto a live camera image of the virtual gaming machine cabinet on a display of the mobile device.

System and method for augmented reality gaming

Disclosed is a complex augmented reality system implementing a mobile device to display complex augmented reality on a display device. A user captures one or more live images from the display device via a camera on the mobile device, which sends the images to a server. The server determines if there are one or more image tags on the display device that are viewable in the live camera images and, if so, uses the one or more image tags to access information used by the augmented reality system to overlay virtual graphics in a position within 3D space on a display of the mobile device to augment the image of the display device with 3D effects to create complex augmented reality.

System and method for augmented reality with complex augmented reality video image tags

A method and system to provide user-configurable preferences and/or options for team play on a single gaming machine is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented gaming system comprises a memory device having stored thereon a gaming application that enables multiplayer, turn-based gameplay among one or more players. A computer-processing unit is operatively connected to the memory device and processes the gaming application to enable the one or more players to specify a condition for determining when a player's turn at gameplay ends. Processing the gaming application further includes determining that the condition is satisfied for a current player and generating a message to indicate that the current player's turn at gameplay is terminated. A display presents the generated message to the one or more players.
