A representative process includes drawing moisture-laden air from within the internal structure of a roof via a vacuum blower, a extraction insert and an extraction manifold, and removing moisture from the moisture-laden air via a dehumidifier. The dry air can be directed back into the roof through an injection insert and an injection manifold.

Systems and methods for drying roofs

Roof cleaning processes and associated systems are disclosed. A representative process includes dispensing a cleaning fluid on the roof, at least restricting the cleaning fluid from exiting the roof via a roof drain, and collecting the cleaning fluid from the roof and directing the cleaning fluid to a sanitary sewer. A representative system includes a pump coupleable to a source of water and configured to pressurize the water, a surface cleaner coupled to the pump with a water line to receive pressurized water, a vacuum source coupled to the surface cleaner with a vacuum line to remove wastewater produced by the surface cleaner, and a retainer configured to be removably attached to a building at least proximate to a roof of the building, the retainer being removably coupleable to the vacuum line and the water line to at least restrict movement of the vacuum line and the water line.

Roof cleaning processes and associated systems

A rotary surface cleaning machine for cleaning floors, including both carpeted floors and uncarpeted hard floor surfaces including but not limited to wood, tile, linoleum and natural stone flooring. The rotary surface cleaning machine has a rotary surface cleaning tool mounted on a frame and coupled for high speed rotary motion relative to the frame. The rotary surface cleaning tool has a substantially circular operational surface that performs the cleaning operation. The rotary surface cleaning tool is driven by an on-board power plant to rotate at high speed. The rotary surface cleaning tool is coupled to a supply of pressurized hot liquid solution of cleaning fluid and a powerful vacuum suction source.

A portable power and water supply for hard surface or carpet cleaners is disclosed. The portable power and water supply can include a portable platform with a fresh/waste water tank and two or more power connectors that can be coupled to separate power sources. The fresh/waste water tank can have an internal bladder that separates fresh cleaning water from returned waste water. The fresh/waste water tank can facilitate operation of cleaning tools (e.g., hard surface cleaners and/or carpet cleaners) in buildings with limited or widely spaced water supplies, without the need for long hoses. The power connectors can be coupled to wall power to direct power to the cleaning tools.

Power/water supply and reclamation tank for cleaning devices, and associated systems and methods

Surface dryers having uniform exit velocity profiles, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. Surface dryers in accordance with certain embodiments include a housing, a gas driver positioned in the housing, an inlet aperture formed in the housing and positioned upstream of the gas driver, and a nozzle carried by the housing and positioned downstream of the gas driver. The nozzle can have an indentation forming a convergent portion positioned to accelerate the flow of air and a divergent portion positioned to decelerate the flow of air.

Surface dryers producing uniform exit velocity profiles, and associated systems and methods

A fluid extracting device with a shaped head and associated systems and methods of use and manufacture. In one embodiment, the device includes an extractor head that includes an extractor port housing having a cavity configured to be coupled to a vacuum source. The extractor port housing includes a recessed surface and individual openings extending through the recessed surface and in fluid communication with an interior suction cavity. The extractor port housing can further include first and second lips each adjacent to opposite sides of the recessed surface and each configured to provide a squeegee function. In another embodiment, the device includes a tubular member and a handle operably coupled to the tubular member and including a suction control device. The suction control device is configured such that a user can simultaneously operate the device to control the suction and operate the extractor to remove fluid from a flooring surface.

Fluid extracting device with shaped head and associated systems and methods of use and manufacture

Dehumidifiers with improved airflow and fluid management features are disclosed herein. A dehumidifier configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a housing, a moisture removal component, and an airflow director. The housing at least partially defines an airflow path extending therethrough. The moisture removal component is positioned within the housing along a portion of the airflow path, and the airflow path enters the moisture removal component in a first direction. The airflow director adjacent to the moisture removal component extends in a plane that is generally parallel to the first direction.

Dehumidifiers with improved fluid management and associated methods of use and manufacture

A hard surface cleaner having a cleaning head with rotational assist. In one embodiment, the cleaning head includes a housing having a fluid-supply and vacuum inlets. The housing also includes at least one flow-control inlet arranged with the vacuum inlet to draw a flow of air into the housing through the flow-control inlet. The cleaning head further includes a spray assembly at least partially enclosed within the housing. The spray assembly includes a shaft, at least one spray nozzle operably coupled to the shaft, and a plurality of fins also operably coupled to the shaft. The spray nozzle is configured to receive a pressurized fluid from the fluid-supply inlet and to rotate about the shaft by delivering the pressurized fluid toward a floor surface. The fins are positioned at least partially within the flow of air through the flow control inlet to control the rotational speed of the spray assembly.

Hard surface cleaners having cleaning heads with rotational assist, and associated systems, apparatuses and methods

Dehumidifiers having improved heat exchange blocks and associated methods of use and manufacture are disclosed. A heat exchange system in accordance with a particular embodiment can include a plurality of elements with a plurality of airflow channels. A plurality of peripheral spacers are positioned toward edges of neighboring elements and extend in a first direction. A first airflow path extends in the first direction, and is at least partially defined by the corresponding elements and the peripheral spacers. A second airflow path is defined by the airflow channels and extends in a second direction, and an airflow blocker is positioned at a corner portion of the elements to prevent fluid communication between the first and the second airflow paths at the elements. In certain embodiments, the heat exchange system can further include a dehumidifier having an evaporator positioned between the first and second airflow paths.
