A method in a first device for setting up a peer-to-peer IP connection between the first device and a second device may include sending a request to a second device for setting up the peer-to-peer IP connection between the first device and the second device. The request may include an IP address of the first device. Alternatively, an IP address of the second device may be received in a message from the second device. The peer-to-peer IP connection between the first device and the second device is then set up. The setting up may be initiated by one of the parties associated with the first device or the second device by connecting to the other party using the IP address of the other party.

A portable communication device () may send a service device locating request () including a position associated with the portable communication device to a service device locating device (). The service device locating device () may determine at least one service device located close to the indicated position and respond to the request by sending a response () including at least one network identifier of a service device () capable of handling the desired service. A voice activated method of establishing a Push-to-Talk (PTT) connection from a mobile phone is disclosed. The mobile phone user presses and holds a PTT key on the mobile phone. The user then speaks the name of a contact. The mobile phone recognizes the name of a contact that has been spoken and associates the recognized name with an entry in the mobile phone's memory. The mobile phone then displays the name of the contact on its display. The user can then speak additional contact names or can release the PTT key. Upon release of the PTT key, the mobile phone initiates a PTT connection from the mobile phone to the contact(s) displayed. The mobile phone uses PTT contact data in the mobile phone's memory associated with the contact name to make the PTT connection. The name of a contact may also comprise a group name that is associated with multiple contacts.
