Introduced here are approaches to dynamically verifying the identity of an individual and assessing the health of the individual through objective, algorithmic characterizations of voice features derived from audio recordings created by the individual. These voice features may be paralinguistic features, non-linguistic features, or linguistic features. By characterizing these voice features, insights can be gleaned into how events represented in the audio recordings should be emotionally characterized. For example, for each audio recording created by the individual, a health management platform may calculate a valence measure that is based on the voice features established for that audio recording. These valence measures can be documented, for example, in a profile maintained for the individual, such that changes in health can be detected in a more reliable, quantitative manner.

Introduced here are health management platforms able to infer the health state of a subject based on behavioral changes reflected in the digital activities performed by a subject. A health management platform can initially acquire contextual data pertaining to digital activities performed by the subject. The health management platform can identify the target(s) of the digital activities by parsing the contextual data, and then compile the digital activities and corresponding activities into a personalized valence index. Thereafter, the health management platform can compare digital activities performed by the subject to the entries included in the personalized valence index. If a matching entry is not discovered, the health management platform can identify an instance of behavior change. These instances of behavior change may be indicative of changes in the subject's health state.

The technology described herein is directed to a health-monitoring service that facilitates contextual grouping of sensor channels for healthcare monitoring. In some implementations, clustering algorithms and predictive models can be used to dynamically select the sensor channels associated with a mobile communication device that are monitored. In this manner, only those sensor channels that provide meaningful signals are monitored.

A method for providing a portable globe for a GIS may include determining one or more selected regions corresponding to a geographical region of a master globe. The method may further include organizing geospatial data from the master globe based on the selected region and creating the portable globe based on the geospatial data. The portable globe may be smaller in data size than the master globe. The method may include transmitting the portable globe to a local device that may render the selected region at a higher resolution than the remainder of the portable globe in the GIS. A system for providing a portable globe may include a selection module, a fusion module and a transmitter. A system for updating a portable globe may include a packet bundler and a globe cutter.

A system and method for sharing geospatial assets between local devices is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method may generally include storing a geospatial asset on a first local device. The first local device may include a processor and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configures the first local device to act as a local server. The method may also include transmitting with the local server data indicating the availability of the geospatial asset to be shared, receiving from a second local device a request to share the geospatial asset and sharing the geospatial asset with the second local device.

The method may include receiving, from a local computing device, event data associated with a user, determining a predicted region of interest for the user based on the event data, generating a portable geospatial asset based on the predicted region of interest and transmitting the portable geospatial asset to the local computing device.
