A method for determining stenosis of the carotid artery in a human patient consisting of a first step of placing a sensing device comprising an array and three sensing elements onto the patient, wherein a first sensing element is placed near the heart and the two remaining sensing elements are placed adjacent to the carotid arteries; the sensing elements then measure sounds from each of the three sensing elements, resulting in sound from three channels. The sound is measured in analog and modified to digital format and then each of the three channels are analyzed before a power spectral density analysis is performed. The power spectral density graph reveals peaks that are not due to noise, that are then analyzed to provide for a calculation of percent stenosis or complete occlusion of the carotid artery.

An article of manufacture comprising a heat sink to be attached a heat source, being coupled thermally and directly for conductive flow of heat from the heat source to the heat sink. The heat sink is formed via extrusion of material of suitable density and mass to absorb heat from the heat source based on design requirements. The extruded heat sink is configured with specially oriented extruded fins and machined cross cuts to increase surface area available to air flow, and arranged for efficient passage of air around the extruded heat sink, thus effecting efficient convection of heat into the air ambient. Cross cuts and fin are specifically arranged to enhance the 'stack effect,' or 'chimney effect,' associated with air flow. An objective is to maximize air flow across available surface area, and thus to enhance removal of heat into the air ambient.

Formed within a sealed housing, the induction coil charging system eliminates external metal contacts, thereby eliminating a potential ignition source during charging operations. Fault tolerant circuitry and a cool-running light emitting diode light source eliminate potential ignition sources due to breakage or fault conditions. Mating surfaces between the lantern and its charger cradle facilitate aligning the charging induction coils.

A refrigerator with a through-the-door beverage can dispenser that includes a chute disposed within a refrigerated interior space that is adapted to receive and hold a plurality of beverage cans in a side-by-side relationship for sequential discharge from a bottom end of the chute. The beverage dispenser includes a rotatable drum that in a loading position has a trough portion adapted to receive a beverage can discharged from the bottom end of the chute and a barrel portion adapted to sealingly fill a passage through a door of the refrigerator. The drum is rotatable by hand from the loading position to a dispensing position where the trough portion of the drum is adjacent to the passage through the door to permit removal of a beverage can from the trough without opening the door.
