A waste toner solidification apparatus for a printing device includes a nozzle configured to receive waste toner from a hopper. A heater is configured to heat the waste toner in a manner sufficient to liquefy the waste toner within the nozzle. Substantially when exiting the nozzle, the liquefied waste toner solidifies and forms a plurality of solid waste toner pellets.

A cartridge for a printing device includes first and second portions coupled to one another and capable of moving relative to each other, one or more rollers situated at the first portion, a photoconductor situated at the second portion, and a lock mechanism. In one embodiment, a cartridge for use in an image forming device includes a photosensitive drum, an electrophotography component, and a conductive isolation member electrically connected to the electrophotography component to permit discharge of static charge on the electrophotography component upon removal of the conductive isolation member.

The present invention includes a method of sealing a toner supply to a developer sleeve including the steps of introducing a static-electric charge on toner particles to create charged toner particles and inducing an attractive charge onto each end of the developer sleeve. The static-electric charge and the attractive charge result in toner particles being attracted to the ends of the developer sleeve which create a barrier of charged toner particles to prevent leakage of the charged toner particles.
