Systems and methods are disclosed for connection and disconnection of a shared audio endpoint. In one aspect, a method includes detecting a charging event of a user mobile device being electrically coupled to a charger, and in response to detecting the charging event, broadcasting a beacon comprising a name of a shared audio endpoint. The shared audio endpoint accepts a connection request to connect the user mobile device to the shared audio endpoint based on the beacon.

Connection and disconnection of shared audio endpoint

Systems and methods are disclosed for connection and disconnection of a shared audio endpoint. One method includes monitoring a connection between a first user mobile device and a shared audio endpoint. The method also includes making, while monitoring, a first determination that a signal strength of the connection between the first user mobile device and the shared audio endpoint is less than a disconnection threshold. Further, the method includes making, while monitoring, a second determination that an active communication stream does not exist between the first user mobile device and the shared audio endpoint. Still further, the method includes closing the connection between the shared audio endpoint and the first user mobile device in response to both the first determination and the second determination.

A mobile phone stations is disclosed. In general, in one aspect, the mobile phone station connects to a smartphone for sending and receiving data therebetween. Further, the mobile phone station includes a dial pad for placing outgoing calls via the smartphone and answering incoming calls received at the smartphone. Also, the mobile phone station includes a charging mechanism for charging the smartphone. In use during an active call at the smartphone, the mobile phone station allows a user to seamlessly switch between two or more of a handset, a speakerphone, and a headset without requiring any user interaction with the smartphone.

A wearable device includes an output display device, a transceiver, a user-operable control, and a processor. The transceiver is configured to communicate over a wireless link with a phone. The processor is configured to generate a control signal in response to an operation of the user-operable control. The processor is also configured to cause the transceiver to transmit, over the wireless link, the control signal. In addition, the processor is configured to receive, via the transceiver and over the wireless link, a notification of a status change at a headset based on the control signal. Furthermore, the processor is configured to cause the output display device to indicate the status change at the headset based on the control signal. The headset is in wireless communication with the phone.

Methods for operating a meeting coordinator to initiate a teleconference meeting using an automated teleconferencing system, having corresponding meeting coordinators and computer-readable media, comprise: generating a roster of meeting participants comprising meeting invitees; accessing calendaring information concerning the teleconference meeting, the calendaring information including a time of the meeting; a meeting location; identities of the meeting invitees; and contact information for the meeting invitees; and transmitting at least some of the calendaring information to the teleconferencing system to enable the system to connect remotely-located meeting invitees.

Meeting coordination system and attendee tracking for use in automated multi-media conference call system

Methods and apparatus for accurately determining whether a mobile electronic device associated with a user is at a meeting location comprise: initiating a scan for a first beacon signal emanating from a first beacon located at the meeting location; detecting the first beacon signal; confirming that the mobile electronic device is within a predetermined proximity of the first beacon based on the first beacon signal; and responsive to confirming that the mobile electronic device is within a predetermined proximity of the first beacon activating a trigger system enabling further resolution of the proximity of the mobile electronic device to the meeting location, wherein the trigger system is located at an entry to the meeting location, and activating a confirmation system to confirm that the mobile electronic device is at the meeting location.

One embodiment features a wearable device having computer-readable media and comprising: an output device; a receiver configured to communicate over a wireless link with a phone; and a processor configured to cause the output device to indicate a status of a headset, the headset being in wireless communication with the phone, responsive to the receiver receiving, over the wireless link, an indication of the status of the headset. Another embodiment features a wearable device having associated computer-readable media and comprising: an output device; a receiver configured to communicate over a wireless link with a headset; and a processor configured to cause the output device to indicate a status of a headset responsive to the receiver receiving, over the wireless link, an indication of the status of the headset.
