A steering rack support assembly with a support shaft and a sleeve. The support shaft has a first end, a second end, and at least two mounting members. The cross section of the support shaft may be substantially the same along the length of the support shaft. A first of the at least two mounting members may be affixed to the first end of the support shaft, while a second of the at least two mounting members may be affixed to the second end. Each of the at least two mounting members may be configured to couple to the frame of the vehicle. The sleeve is disposed around an outer surface of the support shaft and is slidably coupled to the support shaft. A bracket affixed to the sleeve may be configured to couple to a rack and pinion assembly, a first tie rod, and a second tie rod.

A bump stop assembly for a UTV with a frame attachment, a shock absorber attachment, two panels, a shock absorber and a bracket. The frame attachment is coupled to the frame of the UTV and the shock absorber attachment is coupled to the shock absorber. The two panels extend between the frame attachment and the shock attachment. The bracket is coupled to the trailing arm of the suspension system of the UTV. The bump plate bracket has a bump plate located to contact the shock absorber when a force applied to the suspension system causes the suspension system to reach a predetermined level of a capacity of the suspension system to absorb. The bump plate transfers a portion of the force applied to the shock absorber. The shock absorber is configured to absorb energy transferred to the bump stop assembly by the force applied to the suspension system.

Bump stop assembly

A paddle tire with a tire body and a plurality of paddles. The tire body has a right sidewall, a left sidewall, and an outer surface joining the right sidewall to the left sidewall. The paddles are affixed to the outer surface at discrete intervals around a circumference of the tire body and alternate between left-side paddles and right-side paddles. A right portion of each right-side paddle adjacent the right sidewall of the tire body has a first height and a left portion of each right-side paddle distal to the right sidewall of the tire body has a second height. A left portion of each left-side paddle adjacent the left sidewall of the tire body has a first height and a right portion of each left-side paddle distal to the left sidewall of the tire body has a second height. The second height is less than the first height.

A greasable bearing assembly may include an outer ring, an inner ring disposed within, and concentric with, the outer ring, and a plurality of balls disposed between the outer ring and the inner ring. A greasable seal may be disposed adjacent the outer ring and the inner ring, the greasable seal further comprising a toroidal shape comprising an outer face and an inner face. An outer ring-shaped surface may extend from the outer face to the inner face. An inner ring-shaped surface may extend from the outer face to the inner face. An intake opening may be disposed through the greasable seal and extend from the outer ring-shaped surface to the inner face. A securing member may be formed as a lip at the inner face to mateably couple between the inner ring and the outer ring.

Greasable bearing assembly

A UTV double row tapered wheel bearing assembly may include a first inner diameter race, a second inner diameter race axially offset from the first inner diameter race, and an outer diameter race radially offset from the first inner diameter race and the second inner diameter race, the outer diameter race formed as a single integral member. A first ring of rollers may be disposed between the outer diameter race and the first inner diameter race. A second ring of rollers may be disposed between the outer diameter race and the second inner diameter race. A first shield may be coupled to a first axial face of the bearing, and a second shield may be coupled to the second axial face of the bearing.

A greasable bearing assembly may include an outer ring, an inner ring disposed within, and concentric with, the outer ring, and a plurality of balls disposed between the outer ring and the inner ring. A greasable seal may be disposed adjacent the outer ring and the inner ring, the greasable seal further comprising a toroidal shape comprising an outer face and an inner face. An outer ring-shaped surface may extend from the outer face to the inner face. An inner ring-shaped surface may extends from the outer face to the inner face. An intake opening may be disposed through the greasable seal and extend from the outer ring-shaped surface to the inner face. A securing member may be formed as a lip at the inner face to mateably couple between the inner ring and the outer ring.

A carrier bearing assembly can include a bracket comprising a first end, a second end, a first face extending between the first end and the second end width, and a second face opposite the first face. An opening can be formed completely through the bracket and extend from the first face to the second face. A bearing can be disposed within the opening and an angle between a centerline of the bearing and a centerline of the bracket can be in a range of 85-89&#xb0; or 91-95&#xb0;. First and second mounting structures offset from the opening can be for coupling the carrier bearing assembly to the frame of the UTV, and the centerline of the bracket can pass through a center of the first mounting structure and a center of the second mounting structure.

Carrier bearing assembly

A carrier bearing assembly includes a bracket, a mounting structure permitting the bracket to be mounted to a frame of a vehicle, an opening in the bracket extending through the bracket, from a first lateral side of the bracket to a second lateral side of the bracket, the opening substantially offset (e.g., an inch or more off center) in a direction; and a bearing fitted into the opening permitting a driveshaft of the vehicle to pass through and to substantially constrain movement of the driveshaft. Additionally, the opening can be formed as a non-straight hole allowing the driveshaft to pass through the bearing at a non-perpendicular angle. The carrier bearing assembly permits a substantial correction one more operating angle of the driveshaft by constraining the angle of a portion of the driveshaft.

A carrier bearing assembly for bolting to a frame of a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) can include a bracket comprising a first end, a second end, a width W extending between the first end and the second end, and first and second faces extending between the first end and the second end along the width W of the bracket. An opening can be formed completely through the bracket and extend from the first face to the second face, a centerline of the opening being at least 2.5 cm closer to the first end than the second end, and an angle between the opening and the bracket being in a range of 85-89&#xb0; or 91-95&#xb0;. A bearing can be fit in the opening and a rubber bushing can be disposed between the bracket and the bearing. First and second bolt openings can extend into the bracket.

A steering support rack assembly and method are disclosed. The steering support rack assembly includes a linear bearing with a sliding support shaft attached to a bracket at each end of the support shaft, where the brackets are also connected to a steering assembly and tie rods of a vehicle. A steering support rack assembly includes a pair of tie brackets with a support shaft assembly coupled between the tie brackets, such that the steering support rack assembly is configured to couple to a rack and pinion assembly and tie rod assemblies of a vehicle so that a shaft of the support shaft assembly moves in combination with the rack and pinion assembly to steer the vehicle with the tie rod assemblies and increase the strength and durability of the rack and pinion assembly.
