A rotation system for a vehicle sun visor that includes a rod coupled to the vehicle sun visor, wherein the rod is configured to couple to a vehicle to support the vehicle sun visor within an interior of the vehicle, and the rod is configured to facilitate rotation of the vehicle sun visor about the rod. The rotation system also includes a contact element non-rotatably coupled to the rod. The rotation system further includes a biasing element configured to urge a contact surface against the contact element to control rotation of the vehicle sun visor about the rod.

A hinge assembly is provided that includes a follower and a cam disposed adjacent to the follower. The cam is capable of translating relative to the follower along a vertical direction and rotating relative to the follower about a rotational axis. The hinge assembly also includes an axle disposed through the cam to facilitate rotation of the cam about the rotational axis. The axle is configured to bias the cam toward the follower along the vertical direction.

Hinge assembly for vehicle interior trim component

A vehicle panel with a folded-over or wrapped edge is disclosed. The vehicle panel comprises a main body portion. The main body portion includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is formed of a substantially rigid material and has a first surface, a second surface and an edge. The second layer is coupled to the second surface of the first layer and formed of a substantially flexible material. The vehicle panel also comprises a flap integrally formed with the main body portion at the edge and comprises at least the second layer. The vehicle panel further comprises a hinge separating the flap from the main body portion, the hinge is defined by at least a portion of the first layer having a reduced thickness. The flap is folded back about the hinge towards the first surface of the first layer to substantially conceal the edge.

This invention relates to a vehicle visor, comprising a visor pivot rod, a carrier on the visor pivot rod, a spring mechanism inside the carrier, and an open channel with a first end and a second end, wherein at least a portion of the carrier extends into the interior.

A visor for a vehicle includes a core portion configured to interface with a pivot rod to allow the visor to be moved between a storage position and a use position. A single core portion includes structure configured to receive a slideable spring assembly for mounting the visor core to the pivot rod in an extendable and retractable manner. The visor core structure is also configured to receive a fixed spring assembly to mount the visor core to the pivot rod in a non-extendable and non-retractable manner.

Sliding visor

An armrest mounted to a base and a method of inhibiting the movement of an armrest is disclosed. The armrest comprises an armrest support member adapted to be coupled to the base, the armrest support member being movable in a linear direction between a first position and a second position. The armrest also includes a release mechanism configured to selectively engage the armrest support member to retain the armrest support member between the first position and the second position. The method comprises operating the user interface to reduce friction between the cam and the rail sufficient to permit movement of the armrest support member, moving the armrest support member between the forward position and the rearward position, and releasing the user interface whereby the cam applies sufficient friction to inhibit movement of the armrest support member.
