A cleansing composition is disclosed that changes color during use. The cleansing composition contains a plurality of thermochromic dyes that cause a color change to occur at a threshold temperature and continue to cause a color change over a temperature range. The range of temperatures corresponds to approximately the amount of time sufficient to properly wash or scrub using the product.

The present invention is directed to a personal cleansing product which can be sized as a single use personal cleansing product. The cleansing product is an extruded foam product which can disintegrate upon contact with water when used in the standard fashion to wash. As the foam disintegrates, the cleansing agent held in the foam matrix is released. The disintegration of the product can take place slowly, over a period of time such that when an individually sized cleanser is used to scrub until it completely disintegrates, scrubbing duration is long enough to ensure desired levels of cleanliness have been attained. Alternatively, the product can disintegrate immediately, and release all of the soap at essentially one time. The product is an extruded foam expanded from a mixture of a natural starch, a nucleating agent, a water soluble disintegrant, a blowing agent, a water soluble polymer, and a soap base. Optionally, the foam can include a destructured starch, natural, dyes, fragrances, and the like to obtain specific product characteristics.

The present invention is directed to a health-and-hygiene appliance comprising a dispersible component and a releasable component. Some or all of the releasable component is not homogeneously distributed throughout the dispersible component. Instead, the releasable component is disposed adjacent or proximate to the dispersible component, as would occur if the dispersible component was coated, sprayed, injected, deposited, printed, or otherwise associated with a formed dispersible component. One example of such an appliance is a cleansing product in which, on exposure to liquid, such as water, the dispersible component disperses or disintegrates, thereby releasing, and making available, all or substantially all of the releasable component, in this case a soap, cleanser, or other formulation. The releasable component may be released prior to, concurrent with, and/or after dispersal or disintegration of the dispersing component. The appliance can be sized for convenient handling by a caregiver or user&#x2014;e.g., a child&#x2014;and for delivery of a pre-selected amount of the releasable component in a single use.

A seaming assembly for placing seams in a continuously moving web of material. The seaming assembly includes a first support that is movable in a machine direction and a second support which is secured to the first support. The second support is movable relative to the first support in a cross direction. A seaming mechanism is mounted on the second support to place seams in the web that are at least partially in the cross direction. The first support may be movable in the machine direction at a speed that is substantially the same as the web such that the seaming mechanism places seams in the web that are substantially in the cross direction.

The present invention relates to a system that includes a plurality of disposable absorbent products where at least one of the disposable absorbent products includes a tag. The system further includes a reader that identifies the tags on the plurality of disposable absorbent products and plays media based on the identity of the tags. In still another form, the present invention relates to a method that includes marking a plurality of disposable absorbent products (e.g., diapers) with a tag, and providing a reader that plays media based on the identity of the tags.

The present invention provides a continuous process for the manufacture of a garment. A web of fabric including opposing web side edges wherein the opposing web side edges are proximate a pair of opposing garment bottom edges of the garment is provided. The web of fabric is intermittently cut, thereby forming edges defining neck openings in the web of fabric. The opposing web side edges of the web of fabric are intermittently cut, thereby defining pairs of opposing indentations in the opposing web side edges of the web of fabric. The web of fabric is cut, thereby defining discrete garment-sized pieces. Each of the discrete garment-sized pieces of the web of fabric includes at least one neck opening, a front panel having a pair of opposing garment side edges, a back panel having a pair of opposing garment side edges, a portion of two pairs of the opposing indentations in the web side edges of the web of fabric, two garment end portions, and the pair of opposing garment bottom edges. The discrete garment-sized piece of the web of fabric is folded, whereby one of the garment bottom edges of the pair of opposing garment bottom edges is brought into contact with the other garment bottom edge. At least a portion of the pair of opposing garment side edges of the front panel is fastened to at least a portion of the pair of opposing garment side edges of the back panel to form a pair of garment side seams.

A nonwoven fabric protective cover article disclosed comprises a top surface, a bottom surface, at least one edge, and at least one weight joined thereto. The nonwoven fabric of the protective cover article is hydrophobic and has a basis weight from between about 0.15 osy to about 8.0 osy, an air permeability from about 60 ft /min/ft to about 110 ft /min/ft , and stain resistance from about 4 to about 5 for blueberry, instant coffee, gravy, and wine.

Process for manufacturing shirts with raglan sleeves

The present invention relates to a continuous process for the manufacture of a shorts garment from four single layer webs of fabric, each web having two side edges. Two of the four webs are aligned in a side by side orientation. The side edges of the two webs are bonded together, defining a first composite web. The remaining two webs are aligned in a side by side orientation. The side edges of the two remaining webs are bonded together, defining a second composite web. The first and second composite webs are aligned together in a face to face orientation, defining an arrangement having two layers of fabric and two top side edges and two bottom side edges.
