Systems, devices, and methods for providing switch housing remote controls for ceiling fans. The remote receiver in the ceiling fan housing uses existing capacitors installed in the ceiling fan and shares those capacitors with existing mechanical pull chains for the ceiling fan, which eliminates the need for separate capacitors in the remote receiver. Small remote receiver housings can be located inside switch housings, and can have an RF antenna and/or a WiFi antenna. The remote receiver housings can be attached with modular connectors and pin connectors, or be hard wired inside a switch housing, and can include a reverse switch. The small receiver can be wrapped in a heat-resistant plastic sheathing that can be shrink wrapped about the receiver. The shrink-wrapped receiver eliminates a plastic shell housing, reducing costs and allowing the smaller receiver dimensions to fit into smaller spaces.

Switches, devices, systems, and methods for using a conductive pull chain on an overhead light where physically touching the chain can turn on and off the light as well as provides dimming levels of the overhead light, and for converting overhead light fixtures to have a pull chain that can become touch sensitive to turn on and off and have different light dimming levels. The pull chains can also be consecutively pulled to different brightness levels with three switch controls. The overhead lights can be wall mounted lights, ceiling mounted lights and/or ceiling fans with light fixtures.

The battery powered remote control can be installable over an existing wall switch without hard wiring into electrical system at the switch box. The remote control housing is decorative in nature and has functional fan and light buttons for remotely controlling operation of the fan and light fixture. The remote housing attaches to the hard wired wall mounted switch using existing hardware that previously held the switch plate in place. The remote housing has a door that opens to allow the original fan/light switch to still be used in an on/off power control for the device being controlled by the battery powered wall mounted remote control for ceiling fans and lights.

Controls, devices, systems, and methods for remotely reversing ceiling fan rotation directions based on seasonal appearing indicia controls, and remotely selecting ceiling fan turn off times when the user falls asleep. Cooler weather indicia for a remote control reverse switch can include snowflake symbol and/or the types of seasonal weather indicators such as for winter time use. Warmer weather indicia for a remote control reverse switch can include a sun symbol and/or other types of seasonal weather conditions, such as for summer time. Sleep timer controls, such as buttons for 2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours, allows the user to preset when the fan is to be turned off after the user decides to go to sleep.
