An aspiration control device can have an aspiration control valve and a switch, button, slider, trigger, grip, lever, rotating wheel, rotating valve, handle or other interface for resizing the aspiration control valve. The aspiration control interface can be conveniently positioned and configured to be manipulated while simultaneously stabilizing a catheter and/or retracting an elongated member. The aspiration control device can be integrated with a hemostasis valve, integrated with a wire gripping device, and/or attached to an inlet, outlet, hose, pump, or syringe in series with an aspiration flow path.

A clot retrieval device comprising an elongate shaft having a proximal end and a distal end and a clot retrieval element at the distal end of the elongate shaft. A proximal end of the elongate shaft configured to retract a first catheter over the elongate shaft. The shaft extension member comprising one or more raised profiles configured to interfere with one or more indentations along the elongate shaft such that the shaft extension member is configured to extend between a first length and an intermediate length. A clot removal device for removing clot from a body vessel comprising an expandable structure and an elongate member. The elongate member can have a proximal end and a distal end, the elongate member being connected to the expandable structure at its distal end. The expandable structure can have a constrained delivery configuration, an expanded clot engaging deployed configuration, and an at least partially constrained clot pinching configuration. At least a portion of the expandable structure can be configured to engage clot in the expanded deployed configuration and to pinch clot on movement from the deployed configuration to the clot pinching configuration.

Devices described herein include a stentriever for removing an occlusive clot. The stentriever can include a membrane cover on the proximal end which can be sized to form a seal with the tip of an intermediate catheter. Clot engagement sections and/or a distal engagement section of the stentriever can also include a full or partial membrane covering to control the direction of aspiration and/or areas where the aspiration applies suction to the thrombus or clot. The membranes can be used to direct the aspiration so as to pull the clot deeper into the clot engagement sections of the stentriever, thereby improving grip on the clot. The design can also increase the effectiveness of clot fragment protection for friable clots by providing pores and/or clot cells in a distal engagement section.

Proximal locking assembly design for dual stent mechanical thrombectomy device

A device for removing clot from a blood vessel includes a shaft. An expandable framework of struts is fixedly coupled to a distal region of the shaft. The struts can be radially expandable from a first to a second radially expanded state in a deployed configuration. An actuation cable can be connected to a plurality of connections of the engaging framework of struts to apply an expansion force, by the struts, as the struts are actuated by the actuation cable from the first radially expanded state to the second radially expanded state. In the first radially expanded state, a distal end of the struts is spaced a first axial distance away from the shaft, and wherein in the second radially expanded state, a distal end of the struts is spaced a second axial distance, different than the first axial distance, away from the shaft.
