Communication of application transactions on a radio link

A method for operating a mobile entity in a mobile communications network having at least one slice is provided. The slice of the mobile communication to which the mobile entity intends to connect is determined. Additionally, whether a relationship can be identified in the mobile entity is determined. The relationship indicates whether the slice to which the mobile entity intends to connect is related to an access point of the slice. A request message is then transmitted to a radio access network (RAN) of the mobile communications network that includes the identified relationship.

Service level agreement in radio base station

A plurality of mobile robots provide a radio coverage area of a wireless communication network. Each mobile robot comprises a radio base station of the wireless communication network. A mobile robot of the plurality of mobile robots moves to a geographical position to deploy as part of a daisy chain loop of the mobile robots upon receiving instruction from a maintenance base. Upon receiving further instruction from the maintenance base, the mobile robot moves to a further geographical position as part of a circular shift operation performed by the mobile robots deployed to the daisy chain loop to maintain the radio coverage area and send a further mobile robot of the mobile robots deployed to the daisy chain loop to the maintenance base.

The application relates to Network Function Virtualisation as standardised by ETSI GS NFV002 VI.2.1. The standard provides for dynamic instantiation and management of VNF instances. When using base stations as platforms on which VNFs can be instantiated, it has to be decided how this is done in an efficient way. The application proposes that in case a UE moves from an area covered by a source base station () to an area covered by a target base station (), at least one VNF () is deployed on the target base station.
