An open-ear headphone with an acoustic module configured to be located at least in part in a concha of an outer ear of a user. The acoustic module comprises a housing that contains an acoustic transducer. There is a first sound-emitting opening in the housing that is configured to emit sound produced by the acoustic transducer. The acoustic module defines a central longitudinal axis and the first sound-emitting opening is offset from the central axis.

Various aspects include wearable audio devices with through-hinge wiring configurations. In particular aspects, a wearable audio device includes a hinge coupling a first section and one additional section; and a cable extending through the hinge. In various implementations, the hinge is overmolded on the cable and includes: a body defining a cavity accommodating the cable with a first opening to a pathway in the first section, and a second opening to an additional pathway in the one additional section; an insert within the body and adjacent the first opening, the insert defining a minimum radius of a bend in the cable within the cavity; a hinge mechanism contained within the body; and a cable management feature contained within the body, wherein the hinge mechanism, cable management feature and cable are all located in a common plane that is radially oriented relative to the primary axis of the hinge mechanism.

Various aspects include audio eyeglasses with a frame including: a lens region; a pair of arms extending from the lens region; a hinge coupling each of the pair of arms with the lens region; and a cable extending through each hinge, where each hinge includes: a body defining a cavity accommodating the cable; and a hinge mechanism within the body, the hinge mechanism having: a spring located in the lens region, the spring including at least one lever arm extending within the cavity; and a cam member contacting the lever arm of the spring, where the cam member includes: a first contact surface for resisting kickback from the spring when the audio eyeglasses are in a fully open position, and a second, distinct contact surface for resisting kickback from the spring when the audio eyeglasses are in a fully closed position.

An apparatus includes a printed wiring board (PWB) that defines an aperture. A microphone is mounted on the PWB such that the aperture provides an acoustic path to the microphone. An acoustic interface member defines a cavity that is acoustically coupled to the microphone via the aperture. A first gasket between the printed wiring board and the acoustic interface member forms an acoustic seal. A housing is included, and a second gasket is disposed between the acoustic interface member and the housing to form an acoustic seal. An acoustic chamber is defined by a sealed volume that extends from a first (bottom/inner) surface of the housing down to a junction between the microphone and the PWB. The housing defines apertures which provide an acoustic path between a region external to the housing and the acoustic chamber. The acoustic chamber and the apertures in the housing form a Helmholtz resonator.
