A test cabinet for testing a heat generating appliance includes a base having a main structure, a front panel, a rear panel, and a top panel, the top panel being movable relative to the main structure, the front panel extending in a longitudinal direction of the cabinet; a front opening in the front panel, the front opening providing access to an appliance compartment in the base, the appliance compartment being configured to receive the heat generating appliance; a back wall positioned above the top panel and movable relative to the main structure, the back wall being movable in a depth direction of the cabinet, the depth direction being perpendicular to longitudinal direction of the cabinet; and a bottom insert that is removably mounted in the base, the bottom insert forming a floor of the appliance compartment.

A burner assembly for a domestic gas cooktop includes a lower burner mounting structure positioned on a first side of the top sheet; a burner body configured to be positioned on an opposite side of the top sheet, the burner body having an igniter positioning surface; an igniter having an igniter end, and a stop integrally formed in the igniter, the stop having an upper ledge; and an urging member that pushes against the lower burner mounting structure, and urges the igniter in a direction away from the lower burner mounting structure and toward the igniter positioning surface such that the upper ledge of the stop is urged into contact with the igniter positioning surface when the burner assembly is in an assembled condition. The igniter is held in an operating position by the burner body and the urging member when the burner assembly is in use.

Self-adjusting burner igniter for gas cooktops

A testing apparatus is provided for opening and closing a door of an appliance being tested. The apparatus includes a framework; a first actuator attached to the framework, the first actuator having a retracted position and an extended position; a first attaching bar attached to the first actuator and to the door; and a controller for controlling the first actuator such that the first actuator causes the door to move to an open position when the actuator moves from a first one of the extended position and the retracted position to the other of the extended position and the retracted position, and the first actuator causes the door to move to a closed position when the actuator moves from the other of the extended position and the retracted position to the first one of the extended position and the retracted position.

Oven testing fixture and method

A framework is provided for positioning a testing cabinet for testing an appliance. The framework includes a base for supporting the appliance; a first side frame attached to the base; a rear frame attached to the base; a second side frame attached to the base and located opposite to the first side frame; and a top frame attached to the first side frame. The first side frame, the rear frame, the second side frame, and the top frame are adapted to hold panels of the testing cabinet in a predetermined position relative to the appliance, and the framework is adapted to hold a side panel of the panels of the testing cabinet in a plurality of different positions.
