A circuit breaker for an electric load includes first and second terminals; a number of first separable contacts each electrically connected between one of the first terminals and one of the second terminals; a first mechanism to open, close or trip open the first contacts; a number of second separable contacts each electrically connected in series with a corresponding one of the first contacts; a second mechanism to open or close the second contacts; a processor to cause the second mechanism to open or close the second contacts, annunciate through one of the second terminals a power circuit electrical parameter for the electric load, receive from a number of the second terminals a confirmation from or on behalf of the electric load to cause the second mechanism to close the second contacts, and determine a fault state operatively associated with current flowing through the second contacts.

Annunciating or power vending circuit breaker for an electric load

A system including a first device having a first communication interface structured to communicate via a first communication protocol and a second communication interface structured to communicate via a second communication protocol, and a second device having a first communication interface structured to communicate via the first communication protocol. The first communication protocol is a short range wireless communication protocol and the second communication protocol is a native internet protocol. The first device is structured to receive data from the second device via the first communication protocol and to transmit the received data via the second communication protocol.

An intelligent sensor-activated light control device including at least one ambient light sensor is described herein. In one exemplary, non-limiting embodiment, the motion is detected via one or more motion sensors. An ambient light level is then determined using one or more ambient light sensors, and a light control device causes light to be output at an output light level associated with the determined ambient light level. In one embodiment, the output light level is further determined based on a current time interval during with which the motion is detected.

An electric power distribution system is used with an electric power source. The electric power distribution system includes a first device exchanging first electric power with the electric power source. The first device exchanges the first electric power with a plurality of second devices and meters first electric energy corresponding to the first electric power. The second devices exchange the first electric power with the first device. Each of the second devices exchanges second electric power as at least part of the first electric power with a number of corresponding electric loads and meter second electric energy corresponding to the second electric power. A processor includes a routine that compares the metered first electric energy from the first device with a sum of the metered second electric energy from each of the second devices, and responsively determines proper or improper operation of the electric power distribution system.
