An apparatus for performing chemosensory disorder testing includes an application for installation on a mobile computing device. The application includes a set of instructions to receive a scanning signal from a scanner communicating with the mobile computing device, the scanning signal including a unique identifier. The application next identifies a predetermined scent responsive to the scanning signal. The application generates multiple choice display for display on a display screen associated with the mobile computing device, the multiple-choice display includes an indication associated with the identified predetermined scent and at least one indication associated with another scent. The application receives a test response input from the display screen responsive to an input from a test subject attempting to detect the predetermined scent.

Chemosensory disorder trigger and management system

A system for chemosensory disorder testing includes a scanner for scanning a unique identifier associated with a test subject. A scent dispensing unit dispenses a predetermined scent for the test subject responsive to receipt of a dispensing control signal. A user interface receives a test response input from the test subject based on a perception of the test subject of the predetermined scent dispensed by the scent dispensing unit. A central controller generates the dispensing control signal responsive to the unique identifier scanned by the scanner. The central controller further determines at least one of a pass test result or a fail test result responsive to a comparison of the test response input to a predetermined response associated with the predetermined scent. A relational database stores the pass test result or the fail test result at a location associated with the unique identifier associated with the test subject.

An access system has a scanner that scans a unique identifier to access a location. A display receives an input. An automated dispenser dispenses at least one scent on each hand of an individual responsive to a control signal. A processor controls access to the location. A memory stores a set of instructions that configures the processor to receive the unique identifier from the scanner, actuate the automated dispenser to dispense the at least one scent responsive to receipt of the unique identifier, receive the response input based on the scents detected by the individual of the at least one scent, determine a passing result or a failing result responsive to the received response input and an expected response based on the dispensed at least one scent, enable access to the location responsive to a passing result and deny access to the controlled access location responsive to a failing result.
