A bicycle comprises front and rear wheels, a frame supported on the front and rear wheels and including a frame mount, and a battery including a battery mount engaged with the frame mount. One of the battery mount and the frame mount includes a depression and the other of the battery mount and the frame mount includes a boss positioned in the depression. Preferably, depression comprises a slot, and the slot can include a resilient material to securely hold the boss. The boss can comprise an eccentric boss. Preferably, the battery mount is positioned adjacent one end of the battery, and an opposite end of the battery includes an opening. In this embodiment, the bicycle further comprises a mounting pin positioned through the opening and through a portion of the frame to secure the opposite end of the battery to the frame.

A saddle adjustment assembly comprising an adjustable height saddle post, the adjustable height saddle post comprising a first support and a second support, the second support configured to slidably move relative to the first support between at least a raised position and a lowered position, the first support configured to attach to a bicycle frame; a saddle angle adjustment mechanism coupled to the second support, the saddle angle adjustment mechanism comprising a rotatably coupled saddle support configured to couple to a bicycle saddle; wherein the saddle angle adjustment mechanism is configured to enable rotation of the saddle support relative to the second support as a result of the first support moving relative to the second support.

Saddle adjustment system

The present invention provides a bicycle comprising a motor mounted to a motor mount of the bicycle frame. The motor mount includes a down tube mount coupled to a down tube, a chainstay mount coupled to a chainstay, and a side brace secured to the down tube mount and wrapping around one side of the motor to the chainstay mount. Preferably, when viewed from the side, the side brace extends directly from the down tube mount to the chainstay mount. Preferably, the motor mount further comprises a lower support secured to the down tube mount and wrapped around a bottom of the motor to the chainstay mount. The motor mount can further include an upper support connecting the seat tube mount to the down tube mount. This upper support can include an upper flange secured to the motor.

Bicycle frame with reinforced motor mount

The present invention provides a bicycle comprising a pivot interface between a battery and a frame. The pivot interface includes a pivot mount defining a recess on one of the frame and the battery, and an eccentric boss on the other of the frame and the battery. The boss has a first boss width that is insertable into the recess when the battery is in a first position, and the boss further has a second boss width larger than the first boss width and creating an interference fit with the recess when the battery is in a second position. At least one of the pivot mount and the boss is resilient in order to accommodate the interference fit. Preferably, the pivot mount is on the frame and the boss is on the battery, and also the pivot mount preferably comprises a resilient material.

Bicycle frame with improved battery mount

A frame for a bicycle that has a fork and a handlebar. The frame includes a head tube, a bottom bracket adapted to support a crankset, and a down tube coupled between the head tube and the bottom bracket. The frame also has a fork bumper that is coupled to and is disposed on an underside of the down tube. The fork bumper extends outward from the down tube and includes a base and a resilient outer layer engageable by the fork to prevent contact between the down tube and the fork.

Bicycle frame

A bicycle having a wheel and a frame supported by the wheel. The frame includes a wheel support and a stay extending from the wheel support. A stay protector engages the stay, and a chain guide member is coupled to the stay protector to support and align the chain. The chain guide member comprises a guide mount and a guide carriage. The guide mount is secured to the stay protector, and the guide carriage is supported by the guide mount. The bicycle chain passes through a channel formed on the guide carriage.

Bicycle chain guide assembly

A bicycle having a wheel (e.g., a rear wheel) and a frame supported by the wheel. The frame includes a wheel support and a stay extending from the wheel support. A stay protector resiliently engages the stay and comprises a body member including a resilient material adapted to resiliently engage the stay, and a guard member positioned on (e.g., protruding beyond) an outer surface of the body member (e.g., on a top portion and/or bottom portion of the body member). Preferably, the stay includes a molded image on a central portion that is not covered by the guard member. In one embodiment, the guard member comprises a material that has a different hardness than the resilient material of the body member. For example, the guard member can comprise a material that is harder than the resilient material of the body member.

Bicycle chainstay protector

A bicycle including a front wheel, a rear wheel, and a frameset supported by the front wheel and the rear wheel. The rear wheel includes a first end cap and a second end cap, and each end cap has an aligned hole extending through the end cap. The rear wheel includes an axle that is positioned in the holes in the end caps and that defines an axial direction. The frameset includes a first dropout and a second dropout, each including an opening. The axle is positioned in the opening of each dropout. Each drop out has a lip that defines a slot aligned with and larger than the openings. Each of the lips is dimensioned to receive a corresponding end cap of the rear wheel. The lip of the first dropout has an axial length less than the lip of the second dropout.

A bicycle having a wheel and a frame supported by the wheel. The frame includes a wheel support and a stay extending from the wheel support. A stay protector resiliently engages the stay. In one embodiment, the stay includes a tubular-shaped member having an exterior surface, and the stay protector is contoured to substantially match the exterior surface.

A bicycle rear derailleur guard assembly for use with a bicycle having a derailleur mounted to a frame of the bicycle by a derailleur mounting bolt. The derailleur guard assembly preferably includes a body supportable by an axle assembly of the bicycle. The body is configured to extend from an axis of the axle assembly to a space adjacent the mounting bolt of the derailleur and defines an inner surface facing the frame when the guard assembly is mounted to the bicycle. A support is configured to support the derailleur when the guard assembly is mounted to the bicycle and, in at least one arrangement, the body is positioned outwardly of the derailleur mounting bolt within the space adjacent the mounting bolt.

Bicycle rear derailleur guard

A frame assembly for a bicycle having a front wheel and a rear wheel. The frame assembly preferably includes a main frame and a sub-frame, which is movable relative to the main frame and configured to carry the rear wheel. A shock absorber extends between and is connected to the main frame and the sub-frame. The main frame includes a down tube and a monolithic bottom bracket support. The monolithic bottom bracket support is connected to a rearward end of the down tube and preferably includes an opening configured to support a pedal crank assembly for rotation about a crank axis. Preferably, the shock absorber is connected to the main frame for rotation about a pivot axis positioned forward of the opening of the bottom bracket support. Desirably, the shock absorber pivot axis is positioned forward of a line passing through the crank axis and a center point of the down tube at the junction of the down tube and the head tube. In one arrangement, the monolithic bottom bracket support surrounds a portion of the shock absorber.
