An environmental chamber includes an ultrasonic nebulizer assembly for controlling the relative humidity within the chamber. The ultrasonic nebulizer assembly is connected in closed-loop fluid communication with an enclosed chamber of the environmental chamber and includes an ultrasonic nebulizer module to generate water vapor that is introduced into the enclosed chamber. The ultrasonic nebulizer module is constructed to be immersed in water within the ultrasonic nebulizer assembly and is readily replaceable by the user. A nebulizer hour timer is provided to monitor the length of time of the ultrasonic nebulizer is operating to provide a precise indication to the user of how much life is left in the ultrasonic nebulizer before it needs to be replaced.

A battery rack system for stationary power applications is provided. The rack systems includes a rack assembly configured so as to be seismically rated for UBC Zone IV requirements. The rack assembly has a plurality of shelves which are supported by a rack frame such that each shelf along with the rack frame defines a respective cell-receiving area having a front opening. Each shelf has at least one associated cell restraint that is removably connected to the rack assembly. The restraint spans across the front opening to the respective cell-receiving area so as to restrain movement of a cell arranged therein. The system includes at least one channel disposed within the footprint of the rack frame which extends so as to provide a passage between adjacent cell-receiving areas for accommodating wires used to couple cells stored in the rack system together.

An electrically nonconductive cover system is provided which may be readily installed onto and removed from a cell tray assembly while minimizing the likelihood of accidental human contact with lead-acid cells or batteries. The cover system is reliable and secure and permits observation and maintenance of the cells without requiring cover removal.

The present invention comprises a modular battery tray comprising a series of battery modular trays attached together, each tray comprising a back section and opposing side sections configured to provide access between the opposing side sections, at least one of the sections having battery compartments in which the battery is restrained from movement, as desired. In the preferred embodiment, a top cover and a front access door are included, as is a base so as to provide a battery cabinet assembly that may be readily moved and which restricts access.

A cell rack assembly is disclosed which is capable of storing a plurality of cells such as large size sealed lead-acid cells having one terminal on one end and the other terminal on the other end, wherein a plurality of cell-receiving modules are generally detachably attached together. Each cell-receiving module has a top plate, a bottom plate and upstanding support members connecting the top and bottom plates and defining side-by-side cell-receiving areas and a central access area therebetween. The cells are stacked with the terminals facing the end of the modules and are held in position by a set of cell covers that retain the sides of the stacked cells. The modules may be sized to accept one or more sets of stacked cells, as desired for the particular application. In its more specific embodiment, a cap assembly, a base support, and safety panels are all employed with the stacked cell-receiving modules.
