A vacuum cleaner assembly includes an upright vacuum cleaner, an adapter, and a handheld accessory. The upright vacuum cleaner includes an upright frame and a connection post. The connection post is coupled to the upright frame. The connection post includes a distal end. The adapter includes a recess and a projection. The distal end of the connection post is removably received in the recess. The projection is opposite the recess. The handheld accessory includes an elongate member. The elongate member includes a nozzle end. At least a portion of the projection is removably received in the nozzle end.

The handle is pivotally coupled to the base, the handle pivotable between an upright storage position and an inclined operating position, the base movable over a surface to be cleaned. The base includes a suction inlet in fluid communication with the vacuum source, a brushroll chamber including a rear wall, a brushroll in the brushroll chamber, the brushroll rotatable about a brushroll axis, and a brushroll cover releaseably attached to the base, the brushroll cover removable to access the brushroll chamber and the brushroll, and the brushroll chamber rear wall is attached to and removable with the brushroll cover.

A floor cleaner including a vacuum source, a base having a suction inlet, a body pivotally coupled to the base, a handle that extends from the body. The floor cleaner further includes an upper end, the handle adjacent the upper end, a lower end opposite the upper end, the base adjacent the lower end, a front side, the suction inlet adjacent the front side, a back side opposite the front side, a battery that powers the vacuum source, the battery adjacent the back side, a supply tank configured to store a cleaning fluid, the supply tank adjacent the back side, and a recovery tank configured to store the cleaning fluid drawn through the suction inlet from the surface by the vacuum source, the recovery tank adjacent the front side.

A vacuum cleaner includes a surface cleaning head, a pivot assembly pivotally coupled to the surface cleaning head such that the pivot assembly is pivotable relative to the surface cleaning head, and a canister assembly coupled to the pivot assembly such that the canister assembly is supported above the surface cleaning head. The pivot assembly pivotally couples to the surface cleaning head such that the pivot assembly is pivotable relative to the surface cleaning head. The canister assembly includes an electrical source connector configured to connect to a power source. The electrical source connector is electrically connected to a plurality of electrical components via a pivot assembly electrical connection. The surface cleaning head further includes an appliance board having an appliance controller, a display board having a display, and a floor-type sensor, each of which being one of the plurality of electrical components.
