A weapon sight comprising a light emission assembly including a blade having a viewable illuminated aiming indicium which varies in light intensity or light color automatically based on corresponding ambient light intensity or by manually selected switch sequence pattern.

An illuminated sighting system for a firearm sight, including a first light conductive member having a first light conductive member viewing end that emits a first amount of emitted light which provides a first viewable aiming indicium that indicates alignment of a firearm with a target; a second light conductive member viewing end that emits a second amount of emitted light which provides a second viewable aiming indicium that indicates misalignment of the firearm with the target; wherein the second light conductive member viewing end disposes about the first light conductive member viewing end; and a lens operably coupled to the first and second light conductive member viewing ends.

Illuminated sighting system

A rear gunsight rear gunsight connects to a rear of a gun. A front gunsight connects to a front of the gun. The rear gunsight includes a sight longitudinal axis. The rear gunsight and a straight sight line are optimally aligned relative to each other when the sight longitudinal axis is substantially coextensive with said straight sight line. Further when the rear gunsight and straight sight line are optimally aligned, the straight sight line extends through a lens of said rear gunsight and through an end face of an elongated light collector of said rear gunsight. When the straight sight line and rear gunsight are optimally aligned, the straight sight line is also optimally aligned with the front gunsight. Further the straight sight line and a longitudinal axis of the gun barrel extend in side by side parallel relation. When the rear gunsight and the straight sight line are optimally aligned relative to each other, a bright reference point appears in a hollow tube of the rear gunsight. When the straight sight line does not pass through the hollow, the brilliant reference point does not appear to the viewer.

A sighting device, such as a gunsight, includes a support. The support includes a surface. The surface has a surface first section and a surface second section. The surface second section forms a curve. A hollow is delimited by the support surface. An access into the hollow is delimited by the support surface. An elongate light collector has a first section connected to a curved second section. The collector further includes a terminal connected to the second section. Also an illuminating surface of the collector resides at the first section. The light collector first section lies on and along the surface first section. The light collector second section lies on and along said curve of the second section. A light generating source resides in the hollow.

A light emission assembly for a weapon sight, and methods of making and using such a light emission assembly, whereby the light emission assembly includes a light conductive member having a light conductive member length disposed between light conductive member first and second ends; a chamber disposed inside of the light conductive member proximate the light conductive member second end, whereby the chamber can be configured to contain a light emitting element; and a light conductive protrusion axially coupled to the light conductive member proximate the light conductive member first end, whereby the light conductive protrusion terminates in a viewing end, the viewing end cross-sectional area lesser than a light conductive member first end cross-sectional area.

Disclosed herein are embodiments of a sighting device, and methods of making and using such a sighting device, whereby the sighting device comprises a chamber coupled to the sighting device; and a light-emitting element contained within the chamber; wherein the chamber contains only non-radioactive material; and wherein the light-emitting element emits a first amount of visible light to provide a viewable aiming indicium in low light conditions.

Differential expansion (or contraction) of areas of a tire sidewall is measured by constructing height profiles of the tire at each of at least two different static pressures to detect defects in the tire. Light sources project a plurality of illuminated lines onto a tire and cameras are used to record the position of the lines to construct the height profiles of a rotationally fixed position tire.
