Methods and apparatus controlling a wireless power transmitter by applying a first low-side driver signal to a first channel in a first pair of channels and applying a first high-side driver signal to a second channel in first pair of channels, wherein each driver signal has a state that is 'active' or 'inactive' and drives a transistor gate of a switching element. The state of each driver signal on each channel can be monitored to detect an error condition to prevent damaging current flow condition to the switching elements. When the error condition is detected, at least one of the driver signals may be set to &#x201c;inactive&#x201d; for a period of time.

Controllers for wireless power systems having safety functionality

The disclosure features high-resolution pulse-width modulation (HRPWM) controllers that can include a first channel having a first coarse_on register and a first coarse_off register and a counter configured to determine a repetition rate for the first channel. When a coarse_on value of the first coarse_on register and the counter are equal, the first channel can be set 'active' and when a coarse_off value of the first coarse_off register and the counter are equal, the first channel can be set 'inactive'. The controllers can include a delay line configured to generate a set of delay locked waveforms offset by a fine resolution value and a control module configured to select a delay locked waveform from the set of delay locked waveforms and apply the selected delay locked waveform to the first channel.

A system for reducing noise when detecting the capacitance value of a capacitor in a touch display that operates in a potentially noisy environment. A capacitance sensor is provided for determining the size of the capacitor in the touch screen display and includes a charging circuit that charges the capacitor and a discharge circuit that resets the charge of the capacitor to substantially zero. A control circuit controls the capacitance sensor and the operation of the charge and discharge circuits in accordance with a predetermined charging/discharging algorithm to resolve the value of the capacitor and output such value in a sampling operation. The operation of the control circuit and the charging/discharging algorithm is subject to errors as a function of the noisy environment, which errors will be reflected in the output value. A noise reduction circuit is provided to modify the operation of the control circuit to reduce noise.

A method for screening and routing incoming telephone calls includes extracting caller identification information from an incoming telephone call, providing a plurality of tables including a primary ring table, a secondary ring table, a voicemail table, a block call table, and a forward call table, and determining which one of the plurality of tables includes the caller identification information. The method further includes sending the incoming telephone call directly to voicemail without having a ring tone if the voicemail table includes the caller identification information, blocking the incoming telephone call if the block call table includes the caller identification information, and forwarding the incoming telephone call if the forward call table includes the caller identification information.

A touch panel scan system is disclosed for detecting a change in mutual capacitance on the surface of a touch panel. A first touch detect device is provided having a transmitter for transmitting a transmit signal to a select one of a plurality of first lines on a first edge of a touch panel to facilitate a single line scan operation. A second touch detect device is interfaced with a select one or ones of second lines on a second edge of the touch panel having a receiver for receiving therefrom and processing thereof transmit signals coupled thereto from the select one or ones of the first lines to detect changes in a mutual capacitance associated with the select one or ones of the second lines and the first line. At least one of the first or second touch detect devices functions as a master and the other functions as a slave, with the master coupled to the slave and generating a SYNC signal to initiate a single scan operation of a select one of the first lines.
