Exemplary sanitary soap refilling systems and methods are disclosed herein. An exemplary refill refilling system includes a housing, a pump located within the housing, and a bulk storage tank connector. The bulk storage tank connector having a liquid outlet and an air inlet. A liquid inlet conduit is in fluid communication with the pump the liquid outlet. A refill connector is included. The refill connector has a liquid inlet and an air outlet. The refill connector air outlet and the bulk storage tank connector air inlet are in fluid communication with one another. The refill liquid inlet is in fluid communication with the pump.

Refilling systems, refillable containers and method for refilling containers

An exemplary methodology for managing soap, sanitizer and lotion refills includes associating a first refill unit with a first dispenser, determining one or more usage rates for the first dispenser, determining an expected depletion date for the first refill unit. The methodology further includes associating a second refill unit with a second dispenser, determining one or more usage rates for the second dispenser, and determining an expected depletion date for the second refill unit. The methodology further includes providing instructions to move the first refill unit to the second dispenser and the second refill unit to the first dispenser.

Soap, sanitizer and lotion refill units management and tracking

One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for detecting an object, such as a person. For example, a sensing system may comprise a sensor arrangement. The sensor arrangement may comprise a passive sensor and an active sensor. The active sensor may be placed into a sleep state (e.g., a relatively low powered state) until awakened by the passive sensor. For example, responsive to detecting a presence of an object (e.g., a nurse entering a patient's room), the passive sensor may awaken the active sensor from the sleep state to an active state for detecting motion and/or distance of the object within a detection zone to create object detection data (e.g., an indication of a hygiene opportunity for the nurse). The active sensor may transition from the active state to the sleep state responsive to a detection timeout and/or a determination that the object left the detection zone.

Sensor configuration

An operator for moving a barrier between closed and open positions mounted on, or close to, the counterbalance for said barrier. The operator is connected to the counterbalance shaft and lifts the barrier by rotating the counterbalance shaft with attached cable drums and thereby takes up cable connected to the bottom of the door. There is an upper cable connected to the top of the door through a cable drum in the operator. A power spring biases the operator cable drum to always take up the upper cable, keeping it wound. The operator cable drum is connected to the motor through a clutch which when engaged allows the operator to pull the door closed. While the door is closing the clutch can be disengaged to allow the operator cable drum to take up and then pay out the upper cable connected to the top of the door as needed.

Drive device for a movable barrier

A dispensing system includes a dispensing device for dispensing a material stored within the dispensing device. The dispensing system includes a sensor assembly coupled to the dispensing device and for detecting a size of a user in proximity to the dispensing device. The sensor assembly can activate the dispensing device or provide information to the dispensing device to dispense a quantity of the material that is based on the size of the user detected by the sensor assembly. A method of dispensing a material is also provided.

System and method for variable material dosing based on a person's size

An energy storage device, like for example a supercapacitor, is used to provide power to activate a motor for dispensing a dosed amount of hand care product. The energy storage device or supercapacitor is recharged from an energy supply source, e.g. batteries, integrated into the replaceable refill reservoir and/or mounted into the dispenser housing. A controller directs energy discharged from the energy supply source(s) at one of a plurality of discharge energy rates for recharging the energy storage device. Depending on the number of dispense events that occur with a given time interval, the controller may vary the rate at which the energy is discharged from the energy supply source(s) to recharge the energy storage device.

Control for product dispenser energy storage device

A dispenser is provided including a dispenser housing that receives disposable refill units that are to be replaced when empty. The dispenser housing includes an air compressor and an inflation plug. The inflation plug includes a needle having an outlet and further includes a vent valve in fluid communication with the outlet. The inflation plug is fluidly associated with the air compressor such that the air compressor selectively advances air to the vent valve and to the outlet of the needle. The disposable refill includes a container having an interior with a liquid portion and air portion therein. The container further includes a plug receipt, and the inflation plug of the dispenser housing engages the plug receipt such that the outlet of the needle communicates with the interior of the container. The air compressor injects air into the interior of the container through the outlet of the needle to increase the pressure inside the container, and the vent valve of the inflation plug opens if the pressure of the container rises above a set threshold.

An automated banking machine operates responsive to data read from user cards to accept checks and dispense cash to authorized machine users. The machine can compare image data and magnetic data obtained from a check to determine the genuineness of the check. The machine can also determine whether a machine user is authorized to exchange a check for cash. A cash dispenser can be operated to dispense cash to a machine user in exchange for a deposited check. The machine dispenses the cash responsive to communications with a transaction host.
