A computer implemented method includes obtaining historical operation data relative to a plurality of historical operations, the historical operation data including historical machine data, historical worksite data, historical productivity data, and historical logistics data; obtaining current operation data relative to an underway or upcoming operation, the current operation data including current machine data and current worksite data; generating, based on the obtained historical operation data and the obtained current operation data, an operation plan output relative to the underway or upcoming operation, the operation plan output including one or more of: (i) one or more machine routes; (ii) one or more sub-operation locations; (iii) one or more operation plan maps; or a combination of (i), (ii), and (iii); and generating control signals to control one or more mobile agricultural work machines based on the operation plan output.

Systems and methods for initial harvest path prediction and control

One or more information maps are obtained by an agricultural work machine. The one or more information maps map one or more agricultural characteristic values at different geographic locations of a field. An in-situ sensor on the agricultural work machine senses an agricultural characteristic as the agricultural work machine moves through the field. A predictive map generator generates a predictive map that predicts a predictive agricultural characteristic at different locations in the field based on a relationship between the values in the one or more information maps and the agricultural characteristic sensed by the in-situ sensor. The predictive map can be output and used in automated machine control.

A control system controls the operation of a harvester and/or receiving vehicle so that the receiving vehicle can travel adjacent the harvester, behind a harvesting head on the harvester, during a breakthrough pass in the harvesting operation. The control system can include an interlock system which generates an interlock signal when unloading during breakthrough harvesting is not desired. The control signal can include a monitoring system that generates a control signal during the breakthrough pass, and a logistics system that identifies a desired location for the breakthrough pass.

Systems and methods for controlling agricultural headers based on crop movement relative to a portion of the agricultural header are disclosed. The presence or movement of crop material, such as a crop material representing grain (e.g., ears, heads, or pods of crops ('EHP')), relative to the harvester header or a portion of the harvester header may be detected, such as by analyzing image data representing one or more images collected over time. Based on a position or movement or both of the crop material relative to the header, one or more parameters of the harvester header may be adjusted, for example, to reduce an amount of grain loss.

An agricultural machine configured to be operated by an operator and including a drive mechanism having a drive shaft and a gear assembly for driving an agricultural implement. The agricultural machine includes a slip clutch that has an outer sleeve operatively coupled to the gear assembly, an inner sleeve positioned within the outer sleeve and coupled to and rotatable with the drive shaft, a plurality of torque-transfer members positioned between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve and configured to selectively couple the inner sleeve to the outer sleeve, and a position sensor in communication with one of the plurality of torque-transfer members and configured to output a signal in response to radial displacement of the one torque-transfer member being detected. The agricultural machine includes a control unit in communication with the position sensor and configured to alter an operating parameter of the machine in response to receiving the signal.

A self-learning grain sensing system for an agricultural harvester includes a first grain sensor having a first sensing surface responsive to first impacts of grain upon the first sensing surface, wherein the first grain sensor generates first electrical pulses in response to the first impacts; a second grain sensor having a second sensing surface responsive to second impacts of grain upon the second sensing surface, and wherein the second grain sensor generates second electrical pulses in response to the second impacts; and a control system configured to receive the first electrical pulses from the first grain sensor, derive control parameters from the first electrical pulses, and apply those control parameters to the second electrical pulses.

An agricultural harvesting machine including a frame and a threshing section supported by the frame. The threshing section includes a rotating member, a concave and a hydraulic concave support system that positions the concave proximate to the rotating member. The concave is movable in directions toward or away from the rotating member. The hydraulic concave support system includes at least one hydraulically driven element movable substantially parallel to the same directions.

A method of positioning a concave in a threshing section of an agricultural machine including the steps of selecting and maintaining. The selecting step includes the selecting of a set pressure, a minimum separation distance of the concave from a rotating member and a maximum separation distance of the concave from the rotating member. The maintaining step includes the maintaining of a hydraulic fluid pressure in a hydraulic concave support system that supports the concave at substantially the set pressure while the concave is positioned between the minimum separation distance and the maximum separation distance when crop material is being transported between the concave and the rotating member.
