This pump dispenser has a downward tubular support providing a lead-in for a resilient closure. The closure is formed with an upwardly facing inward lead-in chamfer and spaced deep arcuate recesses in the top surface so that the wall between the recesses and the inner diameter is outwardly resilient to permit an attachment flange to stretch the wall outward and permit snap passage of the attachment flange. In this manner the closure is permanently attached to the pump body without the need for welding or separate attaching parts.

A piston/nozzle unit retainer and stop comprises inward fingers in the cylinder slots receiving the trigger trunions which drive the unit.

A container and closure package for dispensing a fluent product that includes an integrally molded plastic container and a one-piece molded plastic closure. The closure is secured to the container within a recess in the upper portion of the container so that the closure conforms to the outlines of the container body. The closure has a base with an annular wall and an interior bead that is received by snap fit over an exterior bead on an annular wall surrounding the outlet opening of the container. A pair of laterally opposed aprons depend from the closure base, and have interior beads that are received by snap fit over exterior beads on the container for enhanced retention of the closure on the container. Strengthening webs extend along the recessed portion of the container to the annular wall surrounding the container outlet opening to strengthen the container against buckling during application of the closure. Gussets extend from the closure aprons to the annular wall of the closure base for rigidifying the closure base.

A dental floss dispenser is disclosed, which is adapted for mounting onto a pump toothpaste dispenser. The dental floss dispenser has a one-piece housing of integrally molded plastic construction which has a peripheral contour to match the predetermined bottom configuration of the toothpaste dispenser. The housing has a base with a peripheral wall having a recessed ledge and slot in the peripheral wall to dispense the floss. The dental floss spool is rotatably mounted on one of two bosses in the housing. The housing also has a hinged door which matches the predetermined bottom configuration of the toothpaste dispenser which is capable of movement away and against the peripheral base wall to expose the slot through which the floss is dispensed. A cutter is mounted on the hinged door allowing the severing of a desired length of floss pulled from the spool through the slot. The hinged door may be kept in a closed position when not in use to prevent external contamination between use of the dental floss or cutter.
