A patient support device for a radiation therapy treatment system and a method of manufacturing the same. The device includes a support having an upper surface and a lower surface and a fixture hole configuration that receives a patient fixation device. The fixture hole configuration includes at least one recess and reinforcing material positioned inside at least a portion of the at least one recess. The device may also include a lower support having an upper surface that includes at least one channel. Flat flex cable used to operate the patient support device is positioned within the at least one channel.

Patient support device with low attenuation properties

A patient support device of a radiation therapy treatment system includes an electromechanical motor and control system for moving the support device. The control system utilizes regenerative braking concepts, converting the motor into a generator as the support device is moved such that no matter the load, the support device will be moved at a constant speed. The control system also allows for moving of the support device in the powered off situation (i.e., when there is no power to the support device).

Patient support device and method of operation

A method and system configured to substantially synchronize two opposite ends of a table assembly of a radiation therapy treatment system. The system includes a lateral motion control system coupled to the table assembly and configured to detect positions of the two opposite ends of the table assembly and to substantially synchronize the positions as the table assembly is laterally moved with respect to a gantry of the radiation therapy treatment system.

Patient support device

A patient support device of a radiation therapy treatment system includes an electromechanical motor and control system for raising and lowering the support device in the Z direction. The control system utilizes regenerative braking concepts, converting the motor into a generator as the support device is lowered such that no matter the load, the support device will be lowered at a constant speed. The control system also allows for lowering of the support device in the powered off situation (i.e., when there is no power to the support device).

A heat sink with fins has a flat, planar surface soldered to a metallic layer at one surface of a flat, planar ceramic layer. The opposite surface of the ceramic layer has a metallic pattern including base areas for high power, high frequency load switching MOSFETs. Lead frames are soldered between the lead frame base areas and base contact areas of the MOSFET packages. Thermal conduction between the MOSFETs and the heat sink dissipates the heat from switching losses. A gate drive circuit board for the load switching system is supported spaced from the and is separated from the MOSFETs by a thermally blocking air gap, with the component side of the gate drive circuit board facing away from the MOSFETs. Spade terminals of the lead frames extend through openings in the gate drive circuit board to route high power signals independently of the gate driver circuit board.

Power module package for high frequency switching system

A self contained multiple dimming channel package includes a housing with a main power circuit board supported on its bottom wall and a control circuit board extending laterally and vertically to baffle air flow through the housing. A cross flow cooling fan forces air through an opening in the control board and across power switching modules and toroidal chokes mounted to the main board. Each power switching module includes a heat sink with fins parallel to the air flow, and the chokes are mounted in rows with their central openings aligned with the air flow. The power switching modules include circuits attached to the heat sinks with terminals releasably plugged into mating connectors on the main board. Circuit breaker switches are snapped into place in the housing. The front corners of the housing are provided with integral mounting bracket and handle members.

A cover assembly for a wall mounted electrical device enclosure includes a mounting bracket that can be attached to the enclosure and a cover plate that is removeably installed onto the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket includes a rigid latch tang and supports an opposed resilient catch. The face plate includes opposed latch recesses. To install the face plate, the resilient catch is engaged with one latch recess and then is resiliently deformed to permit the latch tang to engage the opposed latch recess. The face plate can be removed only by first moving it in the plane of the wall to deform the resilient catch.
