According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a simulated firearm is provided that mimics the appearance of an actual firearm and is configured to fire blank ammunition. The simulated firearm also includes a light transmitter that transmits an infrared signal representative of a bullet fired from the actual firearm in response to firing of the blank ammunition.

Blank firing simulated firearm for use in combat training

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system for simulating firing a gun comprises a firing system and a transmitting system coupled to the firing system. The firing system fires a cartridge and comprises a chamber and a hammer. The chamber receives and holds the cartridge, and the hammer strikes the cartridge. The transmitting system detects movement of the hammer and transmits simulation data prior to the hammer striking the cartridge.

System and method for simulating firing a gun

According to one embodiment, a military training device includes a multiple integrated laser engagement system (MILES) device configured in a piece of apparel. The multiple integrated laser engagement system device includes a light transducing element coupled to an electrical circuit. The light transducing element transmits or receives multiple integrated laser engagement system compliant signals. The light transducing element is attached to an outer surface of the apparel and oriented so that a radiation pattern of the multiple integrated laser engagement system compliant signals is generated outwardly from the apparel during use.

According to one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method for simulating damage inside a chamber in response to receiving a detection signal from one or more sensors outside the chamber. The method includes receiving the detection signal from the one or more sensors located outside the chamber in response to the one or more sensors detecting a simulated hit to outside the chamber. In response, emitting light from one or more light sources to simulate damage inside the chamber.
