Examples of hosels and methods to manufacture hosels are generally described herein. In one example, a hosel may include a neck portion configured to receive a golf shaft. The neck portion may have a transition portion that tapers in a downward direction. An insert portion may extend downward from the transition portion and may be configured to be received inside a cavity of a putter-type golf club head. The insert portion may alternate between a first perimeter size and a second perimeter size before tapering toward a terminal end. Other examples may be described and claimed.

Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads

Examples of golf club shafts and methods to manufacture golf club shafts are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club shaft includes a first tubular portion formed from a first material and coupled to a second tubular portion having a plurality of layers formed from a second material and a third material. A reinforcing member is disposed in at least one of the plurality of layers and is formed from a fourth material. The reinforcing member extends a length that is less than or equal to a length of the second tubular portion. The first, second, third, and fourth materials are different from one another. Golf club shafts and methods to manufacture golf club shafts

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. A golf club head includes a face portion having an outer face portion surrounding a face opening and a face insert portion coupled to the outer face portion to close the face opening. A front groove and a back groove are located at a front surface and a back surface of the face portion, respectively. The front and back grooves define an inner area portion for striking a golf ball. The front and back grooves are configured to enhance deflection and rebounding of the inner area portion during impact with the golf ball. The front groove has a groove length that is the same or about the same as a groove length of the back groove. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion with a first interior portion and a second interior portion, at least a portion of the first interior portion is separated from at least a portion of the second interior portion. The golf club also includes a mass portion coupled to the body portion below a horizontal midplane of the body portion, a port on the body portion, a first filler material at least partially filling the first interior portion, and a second filler material at least partially filling the second interior portion. Golf club head

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion comprising an interior cavity and a front portion. The golf club head may include a face portion on the front portion. The golf club head may include a face insert portion defining a first channel. The golf club head may further include a face bracket portion having a first bracket arm positioned at least partially within the first channel of the face insert portion. The first bracket arm can have end portions defining a first length therebetween. The first length may be greater than a first channel length. Additionally, the end portions of the first bracket arm may each be attached to the perimeter portion of the face portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a face portion for striking a golf ball and an enclosed interior cavity. A filler material may be inside the interior cavity and may reinforce the face portion. The filler material may include a low density polymer material to enable discretionary mass placement to other areas of the golf club head to improve certain mass properties of the golf club head. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a metal body portion including a front portion having a peripheral face portion surrounding an opening. A face plate is set in the opening and includes a metal bezel welded to the opening and a strike assembly set in the bezel. The strike assembly includes an outer metal sheet welded to the metal bezel, an inner metal sheet welded to the metal bezel, and an intermediate composite sheet disposed between the outer metal sheet and the inner metal sheet. The intermediate composite sheet includes a fiber reinforced thermoplastic having a plurality of discontinuous fibers transversely aligned. Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a hollow body portion having a toe portion with a toe portion edge and a heel portion with a heel portion edge. The golf club head also includes a first mass portion coupled to the hollow body portion at or proximate to the toe portion edge, a second mass portion coupled to the hollow body portion proximate to the heel portion edge, and a filler material in an interior portion of the hollow body portion. The distance between the first mass portion and the second mass portion is greater than 50% of the distance between the toe portion edge and the heel portion edge. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a front portion, a rear portion, a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a bottom portion, a face portion, and a periphery. The bottom portion may include a forward portion and a rear protrusion at or proximate the rear portion. A recessed portion is positioned between the forward portion and the rear protrusion and includes a plurality of contoured transition regions defining an opening. A shoulder portion is adjoined to the plurality of contoured transition regions. One or more connecting members extend across the opening to adjoin opposing portions of the shoulder portion. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a hosel portion configured to attach to a shaft and located heel-ward of a center longitudinal plane, the horizontal plane being parallel to a ground plane, and the vertical plane being perpendicular to the horizontal plane, the ground plane, and the center longitudinal plane. A center of gravity of the golf club head is located on an intersection between the horizontal plane and the vertical plane. The hosel portion is configured to orient the shaft such that a shaft axis intersects the horizontal plane and the vertical plane at an intersection point located toe-ward from the center of gravity.
