A zone board for a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system including: a controller connector configured to electrically connect a controller to the zone board, the controller being configured to control operation of the HVAC system; a unit connector configured to electrically connect an indoor air handler to the zone board; and a thermostat connector configured to electrically connect a thermostat in a first zone to the zone board, wherein the thermostat connector is a 24-volt printed circuit board connector.

Variable speed airflow zone board

An HVAC system controller is provided having a first output terminal electrically coupled to at least one component, and a second output terminal electrically coupled to the at least one component. A processing device controls the first output terminal and the second output terminal. If the first output terminal fails, the processing device changes a state of at least one of the first output terminal and the second output terminal.

The method includes measuring a voltage output of a transformer, the transformer configured to supply control power to a component of the HVAC system, determining a loading of the transformer; prioritizing a loading of the transformer; and applying the prioritization to mitigate loading constraints associated with the transformer.

Thermostat power monitoring, mitigation and alert

A method of operating a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes determining a first heating or cooling demand for a first zone of a space and determining a second heating or cooling demand for a second zone of the space. The method determines that the first demand requires operation of the HVAC system in a first mode, and that the second demand requires operation of the HVAC system in a second mode opposite the first mode, and a simultaneous heat/cool algorithm is operated to alternatingly operate the HVAC system in the first mode to condition the first zone and the second mode to condition the second zone.
