Articulating/folding head restraint assemblies that include modular brackets that function as modules and allow for platformability and customization by varying auxiliary components. The modular brackets can be molded or cast using conventional manufacturing processes, and are designed to receive and/or house various components of the assembly such as pivotal head restraint supports, pivotal shafts, locking assemblies, etc. The modular brackets are designed to integrate a number of components that are typically separate in prior art devices and have to be individually assembled together.

Articulating/folding head restraint

An animal resistant trash container lid has several transverse ridges cross the top. Longitudinal ridges are on the front of the trash container lid. Within the trash container lid is a frame. Holes in the front of the trash container lid are disposed to receive locks. The locks fasten the lid to the trash container. The trash container lid also has a handle and hinges integral with the frame and extending through the outer wall of the lid.

Animal resistant trash container lid and trash container system

A vehicle sun visor assembly includes a shaft configured for mounting in a vehicle. The shaft includes in-molded first and second electrical wires extending longitudinally along the shaft. The first and second electrical wires include corresponding first and second exposed contact surfaces spaced circumferentially about the shaft. The sun visor body is pivotally and slidably mounted to the shaft and includes first and second mating contacts positioned for selective engagement with the first and second exposed contact surfaces only when the sun visor is positioned at a predetermined pivotal and longitudinal position with respect to the shaft for providing electrical power to a vanity mirror or the like.

Sliding core visor

A passenger assist handle for use in an automobile includes a handle pivotably mounted to a base and biased in an non-use position by a helical torsion spring. The base has an upstanding mounting block for pivotably retaining the handle and a mounting clip for mounting the base to an automobile frame. The handle has first and second ends each of which is pivotably mounted to the base through a pin which extends through openings in each end of the handle and through the base pivot mounts for movement between first and second positions with respect to the base. The spring has a first end extending into and anchored in the spring hole in the base. The spring is further coiled around the pin between the pivot mounts and has a second end distal from the first end which is anchored in the first end of the handle. The handle further includes a ledge for retaining the second end of the spring in the handle. The ledge has at least one side of which is open for passage of the spring around the side of the ledge during assembly of the spring to the handle and base.

Grip handle assembly and method of assembling same

An overhead console for a vehicle has a support structure (14) with walls (30, 80, 82, 84) and an access door (10) defining a compartment (78) for storing a remote transmitter (86). The transmitter (86) includes an actuator switch (92) that is normally manipulated by a user for operating the transmitter (86) to open a garage door, turn on lights, etc., from inside the vehicle. The console access door (10) is attached to the support structure (14) for movement between closed and open positions. A manually operable actuator (12) is engageable with the transmitter switch (92) for operating the transmitter (86) upon depression of the actuator (12). The actuator (12) is attached to the support structure (14) independent of the door (10) such that movement of the actuator (12) is at least substantially unaffected by movement of the door (10) between the closed and open positions. With this arrangement, the transmitter switch (92) and actuator (12) can be mutually aligned with the door (10) in the open position by positioning the transmitter (86) in the compartment (78) and adjusting the transmitter (86) with respect to the actuator (12).

Garage door opener bin

A mounting clip assembly for mounting an accessory to a roof sheet metal bracket. A mounting clip is fastened to or molded with the accessory and comprises two diverging legs, which are snap-fit into an aperture in the roof sheet metal bracket. A locking bezel has a pair of lugs and a locking finger, which are inserted between the legs to prevent the relative movement of the legs. The locking finger is received within a slot on one of the legs to releasably fasten the bezel to the clip.
