A vehicle and passenger carrying apparatus usable with a vehicle, wherein the passenger carrying portion includes a seating surface and a moveable footrest below the seating surface. The footrest is moveable from an ingress/egress position to a transport position that is closer to the seating surface than the ingress/egress position. The passenger carrying portion further includes a footrest movement mechanism, wherein the footrest movement mechanism controls movement of the moveable footrest between the ingress/egress position the transport position.

The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for controlling a transparency of a window of a vehicle. The system may include a sensor for detecting a user of the vehicle in proximity to the vehicle. The system may also include a control system for controlling the transparency of the window based on the proximity of the user to the vehicle by adjusting a transmittance of a plurality of thin-film-transistors (TFTs) of the window to control the transparency of the window.

Methods and systems for controlling a transparency of a window of a vehicle

An alert system within a vehicle including a sensor and at least one speaker that generates at least one air thrust when a sensor detects a hazardous condition. The frequency and strength of the at least one air thrust varies based on the awareness level of the driver. In one embodiment, at least one air thrust is directed towards the driver from the direction of the hazardous condition. The hazardous condition may include, but is not limited to the driver falling asleep or a vehicle running a red light.
