A shredder includes a cutting mechanism operable to shred material fed thereto. A controller is coupled to the cutting mechanism to control the on/off state and the direction of rotation of the cutting mechanism. An interactive user interface is coupled to the controller. The controller is configured to detect a jammed condition within the shredder and communicate a series of instructions to the interactive user interface to instruct the user how to clear the jam.

A support device for supporting a hand and a wrist of a user includes a body having a hand support portion, a first raised support portion extending from the hand support portion, a second raised support portion spaced apart from the first raised support portion and extending from the hand support portion, and a recess defined at one end by the hand support portion and extending between the first and second raised support portions. The hand support portion is configured to extend across the hand of the user to support the hand. The first and second raised support portions are configured to engage opposing sides of the wrist of the user such that a mid portion of the wrist is suspended above the recess.

Protective knee pads are comprised of a first shell member which fits over the patella and knee joint and a second member which is attached to the lower thigh and pivotally engaged with the knee pad shell so that they may articulate one with respect to the other while providing additional support and protection for the user of the knee pad. An additional shin pad may also be attached to the lower end of the shell which covers the knee.

A luggage holder for holding a carrying case or valise stacked upon a wheeled case having a telescoping handle includes a pair of spaced elastic cords extending from a fastener plate attachable to the wheeled carrying case. A medial bridging element connects the cords and is slidably adjustable along the length of the cords to enhance the placement of appropriate retention forces on a case stacked upon the wheeled carrying case and positioned against a telescoping handle. An adjustable spacing plate is provided to fit over the telescoping handle and includes frictional material on one side to insure retention of the spacing plate and the assembly with the telescoping handle.

A hand held luggage scale case is comprised of a generally pentagonal pair of shells which fit compatibly together and include a storage chamber section for weight sensing elements as well as a tape measure. The case includes a recess channel molded into the shell to retain a weight measurement hook.

A travel scale includes side housings which telescopically connect to a center bridging section that receives signals from load cells located on the bottom side of the side housings. The signals are transmitted to a readout in the bridging section. Upon closing of the housings, the bridging section is protectively covered by the top side of the housings.

An animal harness includes a chest and girth panel with a front side, a rear-end or tail side, an abdominal or girth strap section connecting the sides to form left and right side leg openings. Lateral side straps extend from the front of the chest panel to the tail of the harness where they may be joined to together and attached to a seat belt. Adjustable buckle straps are provided to connect the top of the lateral sides of the harness to retain the harness fitted on an animal.

A portable hand held device for weighing and measuring the size of a luggage item includes a handle designed to provide support yet comfort with respect to the use of the weighing device and further includes a mechanism which enables recordal of the weight of luggage placed upon a suspension hook of the device.
