Spinal implants and methods of extending pre-existing spinal implant constructs. An extension clamp may be connected to an original spinal implant including an elongated rod attached to a portion of the spine without removal of the original spinal implant. The extension clamp may include a yoke and an extension rod extending from the yoke. The yoke may include a first end and a second end, the first end having first and second rod engaging portions and a channel between the first and second rod engaging portions for encompassing a fastener, and the second end being spaced apart from the first end. The first and second rod engaging portions may be configured and dimensioned to secure the extension clamp to the elongated rod.

Disclosed herein is a spinal implant with a solid frame and a porous inner layer. The implant may have a cavity defined by the porous inner layer. The solid frame may have one or more ribs extending from a medial wall to a lateral wall. The thickness of the porous layer may vary relative the thickness of the solid frame at various locations. An inserter to place a spinal implant and a method to perform same are also disclosed.

Spinal implants

A closed-head polyaxial screw for use in spinal instrumentation for spinal fusion, treatment of deformity, or the like. Polyaxial screws may have a two-part design, with the screw fitting into an aperture in the closed head. One or more clamps may secure the bone screw in the aperture. A closed-head polyaxial screw having a one part design is also disclosed. In addition, a one-part monaxial screw is described.

The present invention relates to stable fixation of spine segments, allowing for fusion in, e.g., skeletally mature patients. More particularly, the invention relates to a bone fixation device that can be affixed to vertebrae of a spine to provide reduction (or enlargement) capabilities and allow for fixation in the treatment of various conditions, including, e.g., spondyloslisthesis, degenerative disc disease, fracture, dislocation, spinal tumor, failed previous fusion, and the like, in the spine. The invention also relates to a method for delivering and implanting the bone fixation device.

A connector having body having a first end and a second end; a first connecting member at the first end, the first connecting member having a rod supporting member extending away from the first connector and a passage extending between the first connecting member and the rod supporting member; and a rod extending from the second end. The body and the passage extend co-axially, and a space is provided between the first end and the second end, the space being sized such that a spinal implant screw head is insertable in the space.

Revision connectors, systems, and methods thereof

A spine stabilization implant includes a first portion having a first fixed angulated extension, a first rod receiving element and a connecting element. The implant also includes a second portion having a second fixed angulated extension, a second rod receiving element, and a receiving portion for receiving the connecting element of the first portion. The second portion is configured with a locking assembly for locking the first portion and second portion to one another.

An articulating connector has a first end that clamps to a first rod in an existing construct and a second end, rotatably connected to the first end, that clamps to a second rod in a new construct such that the clamping of the second end to the second rod prevents rotation of the second end with respect to the first end.

A growing rod adapted to be secured along a length of a spine for treating deformities of the spine. The growing rod comprises a base rod, an extendable rod having a proximal portion that is slidably coupled to the base rod and arranged with a gear rack, and a distraction unit. The distraction unit includes a housing attached to the base rod, a rotatable drive interface accessible by an external driver from outside of the housing, and a drive gear mechanism housed within the housing and coupled to the rotatable drive interface and the gear rack such that rotation of the rotatable drive interface causes linear movement of the extendable rod through the gear rack.
