The present disclosure provides a pharmaceutical composition for multi-stage release of psychoactive substances including cannabinoids. The pharmaceutical composition comprises two or more staged compositions having different release profiles or different release time such that the one or more active agents in each of the two or more staged compositions are released into the subject's blood stream at different time points.

A method for dispensing opioids using a dispensing container in an anti-addiction pain-modulating regimen includes generating a dosage scheme for dispensing an opioid compound using the dispensing container including a controller programmable according to the dosage scheme and locked compartments storing the opioid compound. The dosage scheme includes a first dosage scheme for an opioid compound and a first dosage scheme for a cannabinoid compound to be administered to the patient concurrently over a period of time. The method includes sending the dosage scheme for operating the dispensing container. The controller stores one or more authentication programs and is programmed to authenticate the patient using the one or more authentication programs, and in response to authenticating the patient, unlock one or more of the compartments to allow the patient to access to a dosage of the opioid compound held in the one or more compartments according to the dosage scheme.

The present disclosure is generally related to beverage containers, including cannabinoid and/or alkaloid-infused beverage containers, and associated devices, systems, and methods. In at least some embodiments, a beverage container can include one or more container walls forming the sides and/or bottom of the container, a conditioning component configured to releasably contain an active ingredient and to release at least a portion of the active ingredient into the container, and a lid which may be sealably attached to the container wall to create a sealed container. When a liquid is inserted into the beverage container and the lid is sealed to the container wall, the active ingredient can be held separate from the liquid by the conditioning component unless or until the conditioning component is activated/actuated to cause the active ingredient to mix with the liquid and create a beverage infused with the active ingredient.

A nebulizer device for administering aerosol cannabinoid mixtures to a user includes a mouthpiece, a first reservoir, a second reservoir, and a nebulizer device. The nebulizer module is configured to receive a first dosage of the first liquid from the first reservoir and a second dosage of a second liquid from the second reservoir. The nebulizer module is also configured to transform the first liquid into an inhalant and the second liquid into an aerosol that are provided to the user through the mouthpiece. The device further includes a dosage module configured to independently control the delivery of the first liquid and the second liquid to the nebulizer module to set a ratio between the first dosage of the first liquid and the second dosage of the second liquid. The dosage module thereby controls a composition of an aerosol cannabinoid mixture administered to the user.

A method of delivering a daily dose of hydroxycitric acid in the form of a salt as a single bolus that is as effective or more so than the same amount of active delivered via two or three administrations (b.i.d. or t.i.d.) using current delivery modalities. The method reduces the rate of occurrence of common adverse events with hydroxycitric acid salts, and reduces the occurrence of reverse effects on diets high in fat and/or alcohol. The method improves the uptake of the active compound thereby reducing the dose required.
