There is described a system and method for managing timeseries data. A timeseries consumer receives timeseries data from multiple devices, provides the timeseries data to a particular partition of a data table based on an insert time of the timeseries data to the data table, and records metadata associated with the timeseries data provided to the particular partition at a track table. A timeseries archiver identifies recent records of the data table based on insert time(s) and archival time(s) of a milestone table, archives the timeseries data of the data table associated with the recent records to an external system, and updates the archival time(s) of the milestone table and the track table. The timeseries purger drops an archived partition of the data table based on determining that all records of the archived partition have been archived.

The basket hanger having a hook with a plurality of spring steel wires strands extending from the hook, the spring steel wire strands having a substantially straight downwardly extending portion terminated at a distal end in a clip. Each clip positionable between an open position and a clipped position. In the clipped position, an upwardly extending leg of each of the clips extends through an opening in the peripheral flange of the basket such that the peripheral flange is received in an upward first bend of each of the clips, and a second bend of each of the clips engages a back side of the substantially straight downwardly extending portion such that a short dogleg partially wraps around the substantially straight downwardly extending portion.

A pedestrian safety system for a restaurant having a drive-through lane for an automobile, a pickup window, and a pedestrian door. The system includes lane sensors proximate the pickup window that generate lane data indicate of the proximity and motion of an automobile. A controller is in data communication with the lane sensors and programmed to determine proximity and motion status data regarding an automobile in the drive through lane. A pedestrian visual alert member is positioned proximate the pedestrian door of the restaurant and includes Stop, Go, and Caution indicator lamps. An appropriate lamp is energized by the controller depending if the lane sensors detect an automobile moving downstream in the drive-through lane, stopped at the pick-up window, or the lane is clear. The system may also include pedestrian sensors inside the restaurant and a lane visual alert member having indicator lamps to indicate a status of pedestrian traffic.

A substrate bonding apparatus comprises a platen and a press. The press is movable relative to the platen for pressing at least one substrate stack between the press and platen. In one embodiment, a consumable compliant member is disposed between the press and the platen. In another embodiment, the apparatus further comprises a substrate carrier adapted for holding and carrying more than one substrate stack in and out of the apparatus. A method for bonding substrates is also described.

The vortex tube includes an air inlet for receiving compressed air, a first air exhaust for outputting an air stream having a temperature greater than the received compressed air, and a second air exhaust for outputting an air stream having a temperature lower than the received compressed air. The semiconductor processing device is connected to the second air exhaust of the vortex tube so that the semiconductor processing device receives a cooled air stream from the vortex tube, the cooled air stream providing an environment suitable for enabling the semiconductor processing device to perform the semiconductor processing function.

The random prize selection is performed by a computer which uses a random generated number to select a prize from a pay table. The prize may be displayed on or near the gaming table. The player is then awarded the random jackpot amount.

The following is a method and apparatus for administering an operation specified for performance on a set of independently managed hosts. The operation is received initially by one of a plurality of management servers in a managed host system. The operation, specifying a group object, is transferred to the management server designated by the system to administer the operation specified on the group object. The designated management server thereafter decomposes the group object into constituent objects which may be host objects or additional group objects. Next, the locally administered objects are scheduled for execution on the hosts administered by the designated management server. The non-locally administered objects are transferred to the management servers identified in a database for administering the objects. After executing the operation on the host objects, the host objects and group objects return status information back to the designated management server. The status information is then transmitted to the management server that initially received the operation.

Method and apparatus for network computer systems management group

An apparatus for the dynamic positioning of an objective lens in an optical disk drive comprises a housing, a lens unit movable in a focusing and a tracking direction, a magnetic circuit mounted to the lens unit for creating a first magnetic field, a pair of current conducting coils mounted to the housing and arranged orthogonal to the first magnetic field, and a flexure for flexibly supporting the lens unit in the housing. An active region comprising at least half of the coil creates the second magnetic field in response to current passing therethrough to interact with the first magnetic field and apply a force to the lens unit. This efficient coil arrangement allows for a small, lightweight dual-purpose magnetic circuit which substantially reduces the weight of the lens positioning apparatus. The housing is a one-piece injection molded ceramic component which maximizes stiffness and minimizes weight to improve the performance of the apparatus.
