A foldable electronic device includes a display including a first and second areas; a first and second housings; a hinge structure foldably connecting the first housing and the second housing to each other on a folding axis; a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) extending across the folding axis from a first space between the first housing and the display to a second space between the second housing and the display and including a first bending portion and a second bending portion; a sensor configured to identify an impedance in the FPCB; and a processor configured to identify a folding angle between the first housing and the second housing based on the impedance. The first bending portion includes a first sensing pattern part including a first pattern forming a first electrical path and a second pattern forming a second electrical path.

Electronic device including flexible printed circuit board and operating method thereof

An electronic device including an antenna implements a method for recognizing whether a case is attached to the electronic device by using the antenna. The electronic device is configured to attach to an electronic device cover which may include: a cover part configured to surround at least a portion of a housing of the electronic device or form at least a portion of a rear plate of the electronic device; and at least one conductive member configured to, when the electronic device is attached to the cover part, at least partially overlap at least two antennas arranged inside the electronic device and spaced apart from each other. A coupling between at least one of the at least two antennas and the at least one conductive member may be used to recognize whether the electronic device is attached to the cover part.

The electronic device includes a sidewall structure that forms a surface of the electronic device and that includes a key area formed on the surface of the electronic device. The electronic device also includes an internal frame that is formed inside the electronic device and faces an inner surface of the sidewall structure. The electronic device further includes a sensor assembly disposed between the internal frame and the sidewall structure, at least part of the sensor assembly is aligned with the key area. The sensor assembly includes a sensor that senses a force applied to the key area, based on displacement of an inner surface of the key area. The sensor assembly also includes a support member having one surface supported on the sensor and an opposite surface supported on the internal frame.
