A coil component is disposed. The coil component according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a body; a coil portion disposed in the body; an external electrode portion including a first metal layer disposed on the body, and connected to the coil portion; and a surface insulating layer disposed on the body to cover a first region of the first metal layer and open a second region of the first metal layer. Surface roughness of an interface of the first region of the first metal layer with the surface insulating layer is higher than surface roughness of an outer surface of the second region of the first metal layer.

A coil component includes a body having a first surface and a first end surface and a second end surface each connected to the first surface and opposing each other, a support substrate disposed in the body, a coil unit including a first coil pattern, a first lead pattern and a second lead pattern respectively disposed on a first surface of the support substrate opposing the first surface of the body, first and second slit portions respectively disposed in edge portions between the first end surface and the second end surface of the body and exposing the first and second lead patterns, and first and second external electrodes arranged in the first and second slit portions and connected to the coil unit, wherein a ratio of a line width of any one of the first and second lead patterns to a line width of any one turn of the first coil pattern satisfies 1 to 1.5.

The internal coil has coil patterns including an innermost and an outermost coil patterns. A portion of cross section of the innermost coil pattern has a different width than a remainder of the cross section of the innermost coil pattern.

Coil electronic component

A coil component includes a support substrate, a coil portion including a first conductive layer being in contact with one surface of the support substrate, and a second conductive layer disposed on the first conductive layer to be spaced apart from the one surface of the support substrate, and a body including the support substrate and the coil portion embedded in the body. One side of the first conductive layer is closer to a center of the second conductive layer in a width direction of the coil portion than one side of the second conductive layer.

Coil component and method of manufacturing the same

There are provided a coil component and a method of manufacturing the same. The coil component includes: a body portion including a magnetic material; a coil portion disposed in the body portion; and an electrode portion disposed on the body portion, wherein the coil portion includes a support member having groove portions formed in at least one surface thereof and a coil conductor layer filling the groove portions and protruding onto the at least one surface of the support member, the groove portions having planar spiral shapes.

A coil component includes: a body in which a coil part is embedded, wherein the coil part includes: a support member; a pattern wall disposed on the support member; and a coil pattern extending between the pattern walls on the support member and including a plurality of winding turns. A width of an intermediate winding turn between innermost and outermost winding turns, among the plurality of winding turns of the coil pattern, is larger than widths of the innermost and outermost winding turns.

Coil component and manufacturing method thereof

A coil component includes a coil and external electrodes electrically connected to the coil. The coil may include a plurality of coil patterns. A distal end of an outermost coil pattern may include a gap filling portion. A through via directly connected to an innermost coil pattern may also include a gap filling portion.

An inductor includes a body including a support member, a coil, and an encapsulant, and external electrodes on external surfaces of the body. The coil in the body may be formed so that a plurality of coil patterns are continuously formed, wherein the coil pattern includes first and second coil layers, and the encapsulant extends downward between adjacent coil patterns to be between first coil layers of adjacent coil patterns.
