A pile driving system comprises a lifting element attached or attachable to a hoisting cable of a crane, a pile driver which is mounted to the lifting element and movable with respect to the lifting element in a pile driving direction and a brake for braking a movement of the pile driver with respect to the lifting element. The brake comprises cooperating sliding members at the lifting element and the pile driver, which sliding members are pressed against each other in a direction extending transversely to their mutual sliding direction.

Pile driving system

A lifting tool for lifting an element of an offshore structure, such as a transition piece of an offshore wind turbine comprises a frame and a plurality of engagement members for engaging an element to be lifted. The engagement members are mounted to the frame at an angular distance from each other about a centerline of the frame. The lifting tool also comprises a hoisting member to be connected to a hoisting cable of a crane, and located within a virtual cylinder on which the engagement members lie. The hoisting member and the frame are interconnected rigidly through at least three linear actuators which are arranged such that the hoisting member is movable with respect to the frame in a plurality of radial directions with respect to the centerline, independently from the engagement members.

Lifting tool

The invention relates to an assembly for centring a first elongate tubular element and a second elongate tubular element, such as an underwater pile accommodated within a noise mitigation screen, at a common central longitudinal axis along which axis both the first and second element extend, and wherein the centre system is provided with first coupling element for fixedly coupling the centre system with one of the first and second tubular elements, and second coupling element for engaging the other tubular element for centring the other tubular element at the central axis.

A method of and a noise mitigation system for installing a foundation element, in particular a (mono)pile, includes a screen to be placed about a foundation element, in particular a (mono)pile, during driving of the foundation element in an underwater ground formation, to reduce noise input resulting from the driving into the surrounding water, e.g. a river or sea. The method and system comprise a further screen to be deployed about the (first) screen.

Noise mitigation system

A pile measuring system suitable for determining parameter(s) of a pile during an installation of the pile is disclosed. The pile measuring system comprises at least one positioning sensor and a parameter calculator. Each of the at least one positioning sensor is attached or attachable to a location on a sleeve and configured to measure position coordinates of the respective location on the sleeve. The parameter calculator is suitable for determining the parameter(s) of the pile from the position coordinates measured by the at least one positioning sensor.

Pile driving machine

A template for use in installing a plurality of foundation elements, in particular anchor piles, relative to one another in an underwater ground formation is provided. The template includes a plurality of guides for the foundation elements, which guides are fixed relative to one another by means of a frame. At least one of the guides includes a sound-insulating sleeve for surrounding a foundation element during driving.

The device includes an elongate tube which can be arranged over the sound source, the tube comprising an outer wall and inner wall with an intermediate space between the inner and outer wall.

A measuring system for controlling perpendicularity of a pile during driving of the pile includes a mounting frame for coupling the measuring system with a pile driving system, and a measuring frame provided with at least one measuring device for measuring perpendicularity of the pile. The present invention relates to a device for the passive reduction of the sound vibrations in a liquid resulting from a sound source arranged below the liquid level of a body of water, the device comprising an elongate tube which can be arranged over the sound source, the tube comprising an outer wall and inner wall, wherein the tube is designed to maintain a certain desired pressure in the intermediate space between the inner and outer wall. In this case, the pressure is reduced with respect to the ambient pressure. As a result of the reduced pressure, the sound vibrations will less readily travel to the outside and the noise level in the area around the tube is reduced.

The present invention relates to a device for passively reducing the noise vibrations in a liquid resulting from a sound source which is arranged below the liquid level of a body of water, the device comprising a noise-insulating pipe which is designed to be arranged around the sound source, wherein the pipe comprises a number of telescopically extendable and retractable pipe sections, fastening means for attaching at least one first and one second pipe section to one another in extended and/or retracted position, wherein the fastening means are designed to allow the mutual displacement of the pipe sections in a starting position and to attach the pipe sections to one another in a fastening position, and wherein the fastening means are also designed to keep the first and second pipe sections substantially acoustically disconnected in the fastening position.

A sharpener assembly for a rotating circular knife blade on a food product slicing machine has an elongate frame mounted at one of its ends for pivotal movement about an axis being substantially in the plane of the knife blade. The elongate frame has mounted for rotation thereon a grinding stone and a deburring stone. The grinding face of the grinding stone is inclined to the knife blade at an angle so as to grind a required angle on the edge of the obverse face of the knife blade. The grinding stone and the deburring stone arc mounted so that in use the obverse and reverse faces of the knife blade are respectively engaged.
