Aspects of the present disclosure include a PIR assembly including a dome comprising a plurality of optical components, a stationary circuit board, and a moveable PIR sensor moveably coupled to the stationary circuit board via a flexible cable, wherein the moveable PIR sensor is configured to move to a first position to monitor a first zone via a first optical component of the plurality of optical components and to a second position to monitor a second zone via a second optical component of the plurality of optical components.

Motion detector with adjustable pattern direction

A wireless dual technology displacement sensor ('displacement sensor system') and method are disclosed. The displacement sensor system includes an analyzing sensor for determining a range to a measuring point and a trigger sensor for activating the analyzing sensor. The trigger sensor is an accelerometer or an optical proximity sensor (OPS), in examples. The analyzing sensor is preferably a time of flight range sensor. When installed as part of a door system having a door and door frame, for example, the trigger sensor detects movement of the door, and activates the analyzing sensor in response. The analyzing sensor then determines the range to the measuring point, such as the door frame. This two sensor system can be thus used to prevent the high current consumption of existing displacement sensor systems.

Wireless dual technology displacement sensor

A passive infrared motion detector discriminates between the motion of humans and pets in a premises. The motion detector includes an infrared sensor and a mirror for focusing infrared radiation from distinct fields of view. In one embodiment, a mask prevents infrared radiation from reaching the infrared sensor, and cut away regions on the surface of the mask allow selective passage of infrared radiation to the infrared sensor. In an alternative embodiment, the cylindrical mirror elements includes reflective and unreflective regions, which allow selective passage of infrared radiation to the infrared sensor. The cut away regions and the reflective regions are elongated to correspond to the shape of standing humans. As a result, the infrared radiation from animals only partially reaches the infrared sensor.

A multifunctional measuring device for automatic examination of female genital organs, the measuring device having proximal and distal directions, and comprising: a device handle, located in the proximal direction, connected to an elongated, cylindrically-shaped intravaginal module having a longitudinal axis of symmetry, the intravaginal module located in the distal direction; a control and communications subsystem configured within the handle; and an optic module, an ultrasound module, a microwave module, and a thermal sensor array, configured within the intravaginal module and a chemical sensor array configured outside of the intravaginal module; and the control and communications subsystem connected with the optic, ultrasound, and microwave modules and with the thermal sensor array; the intravaginal module positioned intravaginally to scan female genital organs and at least two chosen from list including: the optic module; the ultrasound module; the microwave module; the thermal sensor array; and the chemical sensor array to perform intravaginal measurements.

Multifunctional measuring device for automatic examination of female genital organs

A system and method for an optical displacement detector system with adjustable pattern direction are disclosed. In an embodiment, the detector system includes a mounting bracket and a sensor assembly. The sensor assembly includes a housing, and a sensor module in the housing. The sensor assembly can be rotated with respect to the mounting bracket to adjust an optical axis of the sensor module. In another embodiment, the detector system includes a turntable that enables additional adjustment of the optical axis. Such a system significantly improves installation of these detector systems as compared to existing optical displacement detector systems, which have fixed optical axes. In one application, the detector system is installed in a door system having a door and door frame, and detects displacement of the door.

A method and device for omnidirectional and anti-sabotage anti-tampering detection are disclosed. For this purpose, a proposed security device assembly includes a mounting bracket, a security device such as a motion detector or surveillance camera, and an anti-tampering system. The security device is mounted via the mounting bracket. The anti-tampering system includes a permanent magnet and a magnetometer for detecting a magnetic field of the permanent magnet, and includes a controller. The controller detects changes in the magnetic field that are indicative of movement between the mounting bracket and the security device. In general, the anti-tampering system spans across the mounting bracket and the security device. Preferably, the permanent magnet is attached to the mounting bracket and the magnetometer is included within the security device.

A motion detection system including a lens arranged to focus infrared radiation; a variably positionable optical attenuator arranged for variable positioning thereof opposite the focusing lens, operable for variably attenuating infrared radiation focused by the focusing lens, an extent and a magnitude of the variable attenuation being dependent on a position and on a set of physical characteristics of the variably positionable optical attenuator; a PIR sensor positioned opposite the focusing lens and the variably positionable optical attenuator, operable for sensing the focused and attenuated infrared radiation; and a human motion detection indication generator operable for ascertaining whether an intensity of infrared radiation sensed by the PIR sensor is above a human-generated infrared radiation detection threshold and, responsive thereto, for generating an indication of detection of human motion.
