An apparatus and a method automatically cook food, for example, a hulled grain such as buckwheat, thereby conveniently providing the uniform and optimal cooking quality of the food to a user. The cooking apparatus includes a cooking cavity that contains food to be cooked and water therein, and a heating unit that heats the food and the water. The cooking apparatus further includes a control unit operated in such a way as to heat the food and the water at a preset initial output of the heating unit, first to reduce the output of the heating unit to a first reduced output and allow the heated high temperature water to be absorbed into the food after a first preset time has elapsed, and second, to reduce the output of the heating unit to a second reduced output and cook an inside of the food using the high temperature water absorbed into the food after the water has simmered.

A magnetron includes semi-circularly shaped electric field adjusting grooves provided on surfaces of outer ends of vanes brought into contact with an inner surface of a positive polar body to make distribution of an electric field uniform on the surfaces of the outer ends of the vanes. Apparatus and method for automatic cooking

A magnetron includes a positive polar cylinder, a plurality of vanes, a filament, upper and lower shields, and upper and lower pole pieces. The vanes are disposed in the positive polar cylinder to constitute a positive polar section. The filament is disposed on an axis of the positive polar cylinder to define an activating space. The upper and lower shields cover a top and bottom of the filament, respectively. The upper and lower pole pieces are disposed to induce magnetic flux into the activating space. A magnetron includes a filament to irradiate thermoelectrons, a plurality of anodic vanes arranged around the filament in radial directions, and an antenna connected to at least one of the anodic vanes. The vane connected to the antenna is provided with an antenna holding part. The vanes constitute a positive polar section, along with the positive polar cylinder. The large-diameter and small-diameter strip rings are disposed on an upper portion and a lower portion of the vanes, respectively, to alternatively and electrically connect the vanes to one another. The inside and outside diameters of the large-diameter strip ring are in a range of 17.1 mm to 18.01 mm and 18.6 mm to 19.6 mm, respectively. The inside and outside diameters of the small-diameter strip ring are in a range of 13.4 mm to 14.4 mm and 14.9 mm to 15.9 mm, respectively. The height of the large-diameter and small-diameter strip rings is in a range of 1.50 mm to 1.60 mm. The distance between the large-diameter strip ring and the small-diameter strip ring is maintained in an error range of 2.20 mm.
