In an imaging method an image is generated by an imaging device that includes a vessel structure of an object to be imaged and/or a device arranged in the object. A local asymmetrical contrast amplification algorithm is applied to the image to generate a filtered image that is displayed by a display device.

X-ray device and a method for operating an X-ray device when carrying out an X-ray examination

Methods are provided for operating a medical X-ray device to improve the image quality of an X-ray examination. In one example, the method includes recording at least one first X-ray image of a body region as a mask image; providing a first subsequent image and recording a second X-ray image of the body region, wherein the second X-ray image represents the body region at a later recording time than the first subsequent image; determining a degree of deviation relating to a deviation between the first subsequent image and the second X-ray image; determining an averaging amount in dependence on the degree of deviation; generating a second subsequent image from the second X-ray image or from the first subsequent image together with the second X-ray image, wherein the averaging amount specifies the proportions in which the first subsequent image and the second X-ray image are mixed; and forming an overall image from the mask image and the second subsequent image.

Medical X-ray devices and methods for operating medical X-ray devices

Embodiments provide a method for denoising time series images of a moved structure for a medical device. A movement detector detects the moved structure. The movement detector obtains a measurement of the similarity of two images that each represent the same section of the moved structure. The two images originate from two different time series images. A ratio between spatial and temporal denoising is defined for the section as a function of the measurement of the similarity.

Operating a medical image recording device in the context of an image recording routine for a patient is provided. The image recording routine serves an image recording purpose. The image recording device is controlled based on operating parameters implemented by a controller of the image recording device. The operating parameters are identified completely automatically by an identification algorithm from input data describing at least the patient in the form of a patient model and/or the image recording purpose, and from a registration of the patient with a coordinates system of the image recording device. The operating parameters are used to control the image recording device. An examination region that is to be recorded for the patient and the image recording purpose are derived based on the registration.

A method for training a function of an X-ray system that has a positioning mechanism such as a C-arm, a detector, and, in a beam path in front of the detector, an anti-scatter grid. Positioning of the detector at a large number of different positions occurs. The positioning mechanism is deflected and/or distorted. X-ray beam detectors in one model can individually differ from one another. This can lead to differences in the amount of noise in an image recorded with the aid of the respective X-ray beam detector. In the present case, a variable is derived using an empty image, which variable reproduces the amount of noise, and this variable then determines the type and extent of a filtering process. Hence the image processing is adapted to the respective individual noise behavior of the respective X-ray beam detector. This is particularly suitable if the X-ray beam detector is a flat-panel detector () with a scintillator () and photodetector elements ().

Method of correcting an X-ray image recorded by a digital X-ray detector and calibrating an X-ray detector

In an X-ray diagnostic installation and correction method wherein comet artifacts in the unprocessed image can be corrected, a geometrical analysis of the comet artifacts is implemented, an estimated reference value is determined from the original signal using the analysis result, an estimated detail signal is determined from the original signal using the analysis result, and the comet artifacts are corrected on the basis of the estimated reference value and the estimated detail signal.
