A method for generating a radial alignment guide for an eye includes collecting preoperative alignment data relative to a pupil from an eye that is not dilated. The method also includes locating a pupil center of the eye while dilated. The method further includes displaying the alignment data on an image of the dilated eye relative to the pupil center. In particular embodiments, software embodied in a computer-readable medium is executable by a processor to perform the steps of such a method.

One embodiment of a method and system for presenting artifact-free live video from video capture devices on a computer display including the step of using the vertical blanking interrupt signal of a display controller to generate a software trigger command for the video capture devices. The vertical blanking signal is further used to transfer acquired image frames to the graphic memory of the display controller during the vertical blanking interval. Method and system for presenting live video from video capture devices on a computer monitor

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for seamlessly transitioning text into sign language. The apparatus comprises an encoding module and a translation module. The encoding module includes a camera for recording visual images of a model signing words and phrases, a video box for providing each of the images with a position code, and a processing unit with a memory for storing each of the recorded images so as to create a database of sign language video clips. The translation module includes a processing unit, a monitor associated with the processing unit for displaying a visual output in seamless sign language and a textual output, and a memory containing the database associated with the processing unit.
