A method for execution of a synchronous operation in an asynchronous operational environment includes receiving, by a processor, a first operation from program code executing within the asynchronous operational environment with the program code being run on an execution thread and a communication thread. The method also includes determining, by the processor, if the first operation is a synchronous operation. The method further includes that if the first operation is a synchronous operation, sending a request from the execution thread to the communication thread to perform the first operation and blocking execution of a subsequent operation until a response to the request from the communication thread for the first operation has been completed.

Execution of a synchronous operation in an asynchronous operational environment

A synchronous operation method receives a call request from program code executing on an execution engine. The program code has an associated event loop handling asynchronous event calls and callbacks within the program code. Handlers of the event loop associated with the asynchronous event calls and the callbacks within the program code, except a handler of the event loop associated with the synchronous operation method, are temporarily disabled. The synchronous operation method performs an operation specified within the call request, while the event loop is running with the handlers in question temporarily disabled. The synchronous operation method, upon completion, calls back its handler with results of performance of the operation, and the disabled handlers are reenabled.

Synchronous operation method performance in context of asynchronous event loop

A method for encrypting a message is described in which a public key and a private key are generated. The public key is encrypted using a shared symmetric key shared with an agent. The private key is encrypted using a private symmetric key. The encrypted public key is sent to the agent and decrypted by the agent with the shared symmetric key. A message encrypted with the shared symmetric key is received from the agent, and is decrypted using the shared symmetric key.

A risk level of a software commit is assessed through the use of a classifier. The classifier may be generated based on attributes pertaining to previous commits and used to determine a risk level for deployment of a software commit into a production environment based on attributes extracted from the software commit.
