An electrical connector assembly includes a connector housing defining a cavity and an opening providing access to the cavity, first and second direct current (DC) terminals disposed within the cavity, and first and second busbars electrically and mechanically attached directly to the first and second DC terminals respectively. The first and second busbars each have a rectangular cross section and wherein the first and second busbars extend through the opening such that portions of the first and second busbars are outside of the connector housing. A method of manufacturing an electrical connector assembly is also provided.

Hybrid electric charging inlet

An electric vehicle supply equipment device includes a removable grid cord having an electrical plug and a device housed within the electrical plug. The device has a plurality of temperature sensing elements, a control module, and an electrical circuit electrically coupling the plurality of temperature sensing elements and the control module, the electrical circuit having an electrical power carrying conductor. The device further includes an in-cable control protection device. The control module communicates an indication of a temperature condition of the electrical plug to the in-cable control protection device via the electrical power carrying conductor.

Temperature monitoring device

A device comprises a plurality of temperature sensing elements and a control module. The plurality of temperature sensing elements are each arranged proximal to a respective current carrying blade of an electrical plug. The control module receives, from the plurality of temperature sensing elements, a plurality of temperature signals that each indicate a temperature associated with the respective current carrying blades of the electrical plug. The control module also determines a temperature condition of the electrical plug based on the plurality of temperature signals. The control module also communicates an indication of the temperature condition of the electrical plug via an electrical power carrying conductor that supplies electrical power via the electrical plug.

A bifurcated electromagnetic resonator split into two separate coils, a first coil and a second coil. The inductance value of the first coil is substantially equal to the inductance value of the second coil. A matching network comprising passive electronic components, such as capacitors and inductors, is in series with and intermediate to the first coil and the second coil. This results in a resonator having a balanced circuit topology. The bifurcated resonator may be used as a source and/or capture resonator in a wireless power transfer system.

Bifurcated balanced electromagnetic resonator

A transmit coil assembly configured to transmit two different alternating magnetic fields having different frequencies is provided. The transmit coil assembly includes a first transmit coil set configured to resonate within a first frequency range and a second transmit coil set configured to resonate within a second frequency range which is outside the first frequency range and at least ten times higher or lower than the first frequency range. The assembly also includes a ferrite element; and a housing formed of a conductive material in which the first transmit coil set, the second transmit coil set, and the ferrite element are disposed. The ferrite element is disposed intermediate the first transmit coil set and the housing and is configured to provide magnetic shielding substantially for the first transmit coil set.
