Tower section and a method for a tower section

A method of damping oscillations in a wind turbine tower comprises connecting a bag of material or liquid to a tower component at a first lateral distance away from a tower wall. The bag is also suspended from the tower component by a first vertical distance. The height of the tower component is known such that the first vertical distance corresponds to a particular height within the tower. The first lateral distance, first vertical distance, and mass of the bag are such that the bag is configured to hit said tower wall during oscillations in said wind turbine tower, in order to damp said oscillations in said wind turbine tower.

Method of damping wind turbine tower oscillations

The present invention relates to wind turbine towers and in particular to such towers having a damper for use when erecting the tower and prior to installing a nacelle on the top of the tower. The invention also relates to a method for damping wind turbine towers. One aspect of the invention involves a wind turbine tower () with an upper tower structure () and a damper () comprising, &#x2014;a liquidless damper housing () fixed to the upper structure, &#x2014;a cylindrical interior surface of the damper housing, and &#x2014;a damper mass having a horizontal extent which is less than a horizontal extent of the cylindrical interior surface of the damper housing, and &#x2014;at least one shock absorbing structure, where the damper mass is arranged to, when the tower oscillates, essentially stay in a standstill location, whereby a relative movement between the tower and the damper mass may cause an impact with between the tower mass and the shock absorbing structure dependent on the magnitude of the amplitude of the tower oscillation. A main technical progress is that the damper does not need detailed tuning to the towers natural frequency. As long as the damper mass is sufficient, it may be used for damping a range of tower sizes and heights.

Method and device for aligning tower sections

A method of mounting elements in a wind turbine tower, whereby the elements are partly or completely attached to the wind turbine tower by means of magnetic attraction forces. Wind turbine suspension units may be attached to the wind turbine tower, preferably completely or partly to the inner wall by means of magnetic attraction forces, which present structure-weakening attachments to the tower or part of the tower.

The invention relates to a wind turbine having a wind turbine tower having a tower wall, a wind turbine nacelle positioned on top of the tower and noise reducer for reducing noise emission from the tower. The noise reducer including a beam formed as an elongated strengthening member and one or more dampers, where the dampers are arranged between the tower wall and the beam, the dampers being arranged so that relative movement between the tower wall and the beam results in dissipation of energy via the dampers in order to reduce noise emission. The present invention relates to an arrangement () for cable guiding, comprising a first guide member () adapted to enclose a first cable () along at least a part of the length of said first cable. The present invention relates to a tower for a wind power installation. The tower comprises a wall extending from a foundation in an upwards direction towards a nacelle and defines an enclosed space. Furthermore, the tower comprises a safety blanket which is distended across the tower interior along an inner surface of the wall to thereby split the enclosed space into an upper compartment above the blanket and a lower compartment below the blanket. The invention provides a tower construction e.g. for a wind mill and a method of laying a foundation of a tower construction. The tower construction () comprises a concrete element (), and a base flange () from which a tower wall () extends upwardly. The base flange is supported by an intermediate support structure () positioned on the concrete element (). The support structure () is more rigid than the concrete element () and comprises a resilient pressure distributing element () which is soft relative to the concrete element (). Furthermore, the invention provides a support structure for a tower construction.
