A battery cooling system may include a first cooling device including a first radiator and a first water pump connected through a first coolant line and circulating a coolant in the first coolant line to cool at least one electrical component and at least one motor; a second cooling device including a second radiator and a second water pump connected through a second coolant line and circulating the coolant in the second coolant line; a battery module mounted on a battery coolant line selectively connectable to the second coolant line through a valve; and a chiller mounted on the battery coolant line and through which the coolant passes, connected to a refrigerant line of an air conditioning device through a refrigerant connection line, and making the coolant which selectively flows exchange heat with a refrigerant supplied from the air conditioning device to control a temperature of the coolant.

Battery cooling system for vehicle

A vehicle and a method for controlling the same are provided to secure additional distance to empty (DTE) of the vehicle by controlling the use of a load that is consuming battery power or by changing driving mode, when a recharging station is unavailable within DTE of the vehicle at a current battery charge level. The vehicle includes a DTE calculator that calculates DTE of the vehicle based on a battery charge level and a cluster that displays the calculated DTE. A controller detects a recharging station located within the calculated DTE and transmits a control signal to create an interface for controlling battery power consumption based on battery power consumed by at least one load when a recharging station is unavailable within the calculated DTE and a display displays the created interface.

Vehicle and method for controlling the same

A battery system is provided. The system includes a battery and a sensor unit having a voltage sensor that detects a voltage of the battery and a current sensor that detects a charging and discharging current of the battery. A power relay assembly of the system includes a main relay that connects between the battery and a vehicle system. Additionally, a battery management system (BMS) applies different diagnostic error code confirm conditions to the voltage sensor and the current sensor when a multi-error of the voltage sensor and the current sensor is detected.
