The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to valve configurations providing sealable access for medical instruments to a working channel, such as a working channel for an endoscope.

Devices, systems, and methods for providing sealable access to a working channel

Attachments for endoscopes as well as methods for making and using attachments are disclosed. An example attachment may include a housing. One or more angled locking members may extend from an inner surface of the housing. The angled locking members may be designed to engage a biopsy port of an endoscope. One or more stabilizing members may extend from the inner surface of the housing. A locking apparatus may be coupled to the housing. A sealing member may be disposed within the housing.

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical instruments. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a biopsy cap and endoscope biopsy cap housing with improved stability and stress distribution to securely and removably attach to an endoscope biopsy port. In one example, a biopsy cap housing may include a first center-split half comprising a first half of an upper and lower chamber and first pivot member, and a second center-split half comprising a second half of an upper and lower chamber, and second pivot member, wherein mating surfaces of the first and second center-split halves may be configured to interlock to define the upper and lower chambers.

An example endoscope assembly may include an endoscope having a channel formed therein and a port that provides access to the channel. A cap may be coupled to the port. The cap may include a base having a securing member for securing the cap to the port, an outer shell and a brush section disposed within the interior volume adjacent the disk shutter section, the brush section including a plurality of brushes arranged in a helical fashion.

Biopsy cap for use with endoscope

Biopsy caps and seals, and methods for making and using the same may be provided in conjunction with an endoscope assembly. A seal may include a main body including a circumferential outer wall surrounding a central lumen. The seal may include at least one support wall extending radially from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, and at least one helical flap extending from the support wall helically downward along an inner surface of the outer wall, where the at least one helical flap defines an opening at the center of the lumen. The seal may alternatively include a plurality of projections extending radially inward from the outer wall towards a center of the lumen, where the plurality of projections are arranged in a series of circumferentially and angularly offset layers.

A system for treating tissue includes a clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, proximal ends of the clip arms slidably received within a channel of a capsule to be moved between a tissue receiving configuration and a tissue clipping configuration, an applicator including a catheter and a control member extending therethrough, a distal end of the control member configured to be connected to the clip arms to move the clip assembly between the tissue receiving and tissue clipping configurations, and a coupler releasably coupled to proximal ends of the clip arms and configured to be coupled to the distal end of the control member, the coupler configured to yield when a proximal force exerted on the coupler via the control member exceeds a first predetermined threshold value to disengage the clip arms to deploy the clip assembly.
