A wireless communication system detects a signal triggered by a user manipulation to switch from a first host to a second host, whereupon the first wireless peripheral device disconnects from the first host and re-connecting to the second host, and transmits to the second wireless peripheral device a request to switch from the first host to the second host.

A monitor for an information handling system includes a video interface operable to receive first display content, a wireless interface operable to receive second display content, a first Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface, and a second USB interface. The monitor is operable to receive a first indication to display the first content and in response to receiving the first indication, to display the first content and couple the first USB interface to the second USB interface. The monitor is further operable to receive a second indication to display the second content and in response to receiving the second indication, to display the second content and couple the wireless interface to the second USB interface.

A method of selecting an image capturing device in communication with an information handling system (IHS) is disclosed wherein the method includes executing an imaging software application and loading first data corresponding to an image capturing device compatible with the imaging software application, wherein the image capturing device is in communication with the IHS. The method further includes automatically executing a compatible image capturing device corresponding to the imaging software application. An information handling system (IHS) is further disclosed including a storage medium operable to store an imaging software application. The system further includes memory coupled to a processor, wherein the processor is configured to execute the imaging software application. The system may further include a virtual driver installed on the storage medium, the virtual driver configured to automatically select a preferred image capturing device corresponding to the imaging software application and wherein the preferred image capturing device is in communication with the IHS.

Methods and systems for selecting image capturing devices

A system and method for configuring devices for wireless communication are disclosed. A method may include detecting one or more available wireless access points. The method may also include accessing filtering information including at least one of (a) factory default information identifying one or more factory defaults for each available wireless access point and (b) a secured status of each available wireless access point. The method may also include filtering the available wireless access points based on at least the accessed filtering information. The method may further include selecting one of the filtered wireless access points as an associated wireless access point to be associated with an information handling system based on at least one of (a) a signal strength of each filtered available wireless access points and (b) a user input.
