Disclosed is a method of realizing a user menu edit function, including (a) providing a list of menu items selectable on a per mode basis, (b) receiving selection of at least one from the list of menu items input by a user, (c) applying the menu item selected by the user to a diagnostic screen application field linked to a real screen of a diagnostic apparatus, and (d) displaying the menu item selected by the user on the real screen of the diagnostic apparatus in response to the application result.

Embodiments for providing an elastic image are disclosed. In one embodiment, by way of non-limiting example, an ultrasound system comprises: a user input unit configured to receive user input information from a user; a storage unit configured to store a mapping table associating measuring item information on a plurality of measuring items with a plurality of applications; an ultrasound data acquisition unit configured to acquire ultrasound data corresponding to the target object; and a processing unit configured to form an ultrasound image based on ultrasound data and detect a contour of the target object in the ultrasound image in response to the user input information, the processing unit being further configured to extract at least one of measuring items corresponding to the user input information and the contour from the storage unit to form a measuring item candidate group.

The embodiment of the present invention provides an ultrasound diagnostic system, including: an ultrasound diagnosis unit for transmitting ultrasound signals to a target object and receiving ultrasound echo signals to acquire B-mode image signals and Doppler spectrum image signals; a processor for forming at least one B-mode image based on the B-mode image signals and forming a plurality of Doppler spectrum images for a plurality of sample volumes designated on the B-mode image based on the Doppler spectrum image signals; a user input unit for allowing a user to input selection information indicating locations and sizes of the plurality of sample volumes; and an image display unit for displaying at least one B-mode image and the plurality of Doppler spectrum images.
