A display device includes a substrate, a first conductive film pattern including a gate electrode and a first capacitor electrode on the substrate, a gate insulating layer pattern on the first conductive film pattern, a polycrystalline silicon film pattern including an active layer and a second capacitor electrode on the gate insulating layer pattern, an interlayer insulating layer on the polycrystalline silicon film pattern, a plurality of first contact holes through the gate insulating layer pattern and the interlayer insulating layer to expose a portion of the first conductive film pattern, a plurality of second contact holes through the interlayer insulating layer to expose a portion of the polycrystalline silicon film pattern, and a second conductive film pattern including a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a pixel electrode on the interlayer insulating layer.

A display device and a method of driving the same, in which the display device includes: a light-emitting element; a first capacitor connected between first and second contact points; a driving transistor that has a control terminal connected to the second contact point, an input terminal connected to a driving voltage, and an output terminal connected to the light-emitting element; a first switching transistor connected between a data voltage or a sustain voltage and the first contact point; a second switching transistor connected between the second contact point and the output terminal of the driving transistor; and a third switching transistor connected between a reference current source and the output terminal of the driving transistor.

In an organic light-emitting display device and a method of manufacturing the same, the organic light-emitting display device comprises: a substrate including a transistor region; a buffer layer and a semiconductor layer sequentially formed on the substrate; a gate electrode formed on the semiconductor layer; an interlayer insulating film formed on the gate electrode; source and drain electrodes, each formed on the interlayer insulating film and having a portion penetrating the interlayer insulating film so as to contact the semiconductor layer; a mask pattern formed on each of the source and drain electrodes; and a pixel defined layer formed on the mask pattern.

Organic light-emitting display device and method of manufacturing the same

An organic light-emitting display device includes a pixel electrode and a pixel defining layer which are formed by using one mask process. A method for manufacturing the display includes thermally reflowing a remaining portion of a photo-sensitive organic film that is used as a mask to form the pixel electrode to be the pixel defining layer.

A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a lower substrate, an upper substrate and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate. The lower substrate includes a display part for displaying image and a driving part for providing the display part with a driving signal. The upper substrate includes a common electrode and an insulating member that electrically insulates the common electrode from the driving part. The insulating member has a lower dielectric constant than the liquid crystal layer. Thus, a parasitic capacitance between the driving part and the common electrode is reduced to prevent malfunction of the driving part, and a display quality is enhanced.

Upper substrate and liquid crystal display device having the same

A display substrate includes a pixel, a signal transmission line, a first insulating layer and a test signal input part. The pixel is on an insulating substrate. The signal transmission line is on the insulating substrate to transmit an image signal. The first insulating layer is on the signal transmission line. The first insulating layer has a contact hole through which the signal transmission line is partially exposed. The test signal input part is on the first insulating layer, and includes an extended portion and a test signal pad. The extended portion is electrically connected to the signal transmission line through the contact hole, and is extended toward a side of the insulating substrate. The test signal pad is electrically connected to the extended portion. Therefore, the number of defects is decreased.

Method of manufacturing a display substrate

A thin film transistor array panel including a substrate, a gate line and a gate-layer signal transmitting line of a gate driving circuit portion formed on the substrate, a gate insulating layer formed on the gate line and the gate-layer signal transmitting line and having a first contact hole exposing a portion of the gate-layer signal transmitting line, a semiconductor layer formed on the gate insulating layer, a data line including a source electrode, and a drain electrode formed on the gate insulating layer and the semiconductor layer, a data-layer signal transmitting line of the gate driving circuit portion formed on the gate insulating layer and connected to the gate-layer signal transmitting line through the first contact hole, a pixel electrode connected to the drain electrode, and a passivation layer formed on the data line, the drain electrode, and the data-layer signal transmitting line of the driving circuit portion. The data line, the drain electrode, and the data-layer signal transmitting line have a triple-layered structure including a lower layer, an intermediate layer, and an upper layer. The lower layer is made of a same layer as the pixel electrode.

Thin film transistor panel and manufacturing method thereof

In a lower substrate, a display apparatus having the lower substrate and a method of manufacturing the lower substrate, the lower substrate includes a pixel area and a circuit area. An image is displayed in the pixel area. A first signal electrode is disposed in a circuit area. A first insulating layer includes an opening, through which the first signal electrode is exposed. A second signal electrode is disposed on the first insulating layer in the circuit area, and spaced apart from the first signal electrode. A second insulating layer is disposed on the first insulating layer, and includes a contact hole, through which the first and second signal electrodes are exposed. A conductive layer electrically connects the first signal electrode to the second signal electrode. Therefore, a manufacturing process is simplified so that a yield of the lower substrate is increased.

Lower substrate, display apparatus having the same and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display includes a display area that can be seen by a user, and a peripheral area external to the display area. The display area and the peripheral area are provided with pixel electrodes including transparent electrodes and reflective electrodes. The reflective electrodes on the display area have holes exposing the transparent electrodes, while the reflective electrodes on the peripheral area have no hole.

Transflective liquid crystal display

An LCD device includes a lower panel having a first substrate; an organic layer formed on the first substrate; a trans-reflection layer formed on the organic layer and having a reflection area reflecting a portion of incidence light from exterior and a transmission area transmitting other portion of the incidence light; color filters formed on the trans-reflection layer; an overcoating layer formed on the color filters; and a common electrode formed on the overcoating layer. A portion of the overcoating layer corresponding to the reflection area is thicker than a portion of the overcoating layer corresponding to the transmission area. The LCD device also includes an upper panel including a second substrate facing the first substrate with a predetermined gap; thin film transistors formed on the second substrate; and pixel electrodes connected to the thin film transistors; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the lower and upper panels.
